1、 INCH-POUND A-A-59715 10 June 2002 COMMERICAL ITEM DESCRIPTION RESISTORS, FIXED AND ADJUSTABLE, WIRE WOUND, POWER TYPE, GENERAL REQIUIREMENTS FOR The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this Commercial Item Description (CID) for all federal agencies. 1. SCOPE. This CID covers t

2、he general requirements for wire wound, power type, fixed or adjustable resistors. The individual requirements for specific resistors are covered in the individual CID sheets. The resistors covered by this CID are intended for commercial/industrial applications. 2. CLASSIFICATION. This CID uses a cl

3、assification system which is included in the Part Identification Number (PIN) as shown in the following example (see 6.1) AA59715 01 - * * * CID number Applicable CID sheet (two digits) Resistor type (one digit) (see 3.2) Resistance (see 3.3) Resistance tolerance (see 3.4) 3. SALIENT CHARTACTERISTIC

4、S 3.1 Interface and physical dimensions. The resistors supplied to this CID shall be as specified on the applicable CID sheet. 3.2 Resistor type. Designates the type and power rating of each resistor contained in the applicable CID sheet. 3.3 Resistance. The nominal resistance value expressed in ohm

5、s is identified by a four-digit number; the first three digits represent significant figures and the last digit specifies the number of zeros to follow. Resistance values for specific resistors are covered in the individual CID sheets. When the value of resistance is less than 100 ohms, or when frac

6、tional values of an ohm is required, the “R” will be substituted for one of the significant digits to represent the decimal point. When the letter “R” is used, succeeding digits of the group represent significant figures. The resistance value designations are shown in the applicable CID sheet. 3.4 R

7、esistance tolerance. The resistance tolerance shall be as specified on the applicable CID sheet. 3.5 Power rating. The power rating shall be as specified on the applicable CID sheet. 3.6 Mounting hardware. Mounting hardware for resistors covered under applicable CID sheets is available through the m

8、anufacturers catalog. 10、with the manufacturers (MFRs) standard commercial PIN. 4. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS 4.1 Recycled/recovered materials. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). 5. P

11、R3ODUCT CONFORMANCE PROVISIONS 5.1 Product conformance. The products provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this CID, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quaslity assurance practices, and is the same product offered for sale in the commercial market. The

12、 Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. 5.2 Market acceptance. Te following market acceptance criteria are necessary to document the quality of the product to be provided under this CID: a. The company producing the item must have been producing the a product meeting the

13、 requirements of this ID for at least 6 months. b. The company must have sold 1,000 units meeting this CID in the commercial marketplace over the past 6 months. 6. PACKAGING 6.1 Preservation, packing and marking. Preservation, packing, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order. 7. N

14、OTES 7.1 PIN. The PIN should be used for Government purposes to buy commercial products to this CID. See section 2 for PIN format example. 7.2 Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code. For ordering purposes, inventory control, and submission of these resistors to DSCC under the Military Parts Co

15、ntrol Advisory Group (MPCAG) evaluation program, CAGE Code 58536 should be used. 7.3 Source of documents. The section is not applicable to this CID. 7.4 Ordering data.
