3、inistration has authorized the use of this commercial item description by all federal agencies. 1. SCOPE. This commercial item description (CID) covers one technical grade of potassium dichromate. 2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. When tested in accordance with the procedures described in “Reagent Chemica

4、ls“, American Chemical Society (ACS) Specifications, the potassium dichromate shall meet or exceed the requirements of table I and table II. TABLE I. Potassium dichromate chemical requirements. Item shall be labeled, packed and marked in accordance with Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Parts 100 to 185. 3.2 M

7、aterial safety data sheet (MSDS). Manufacturers shall prepare and submit a MSDS in accordance with FED-STD-313, “Material Safety Data, Transportation Data and Disposal Data for Hazardous Materials Furnished to Government Activities“, and meeting the requirements of 29 CFR 1910.1200, “Occupational Sa

8、fety and Health Standards: Hazard Communication“. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS. 4.1 Product conformance. The product provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this commercial item description, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practic

9、es, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial marketplace. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. 4.2 Market acceptability. The item offered must have been sold to the government or commercial market. 5. PACKAGING. Preservation, packing, labeling, an

10、d marking shall be as specified in the contract or order (see 6.4(c). 6. NOTES. 6.1 Part or identification number (PIN). The part or identification number procedure for this CID is AA59508-1.
