Abstract. This documen

2、t covers one type of leather waist belt and is designed for use by Military Police. Classification. The belt sizes and lengths shall be as specified on page 2. Salient Characteristics. The waist belt shall be comprised of three piece leather construction: main body, keeper and loop. The main body sh

3、all be 1-3/4 inch wide. The keeper shall be 3/4 inch wide and 5-1/4 inch in length. The loop shall be 7/16 inch wide and 4-3/4 inch in length. be rounded with a size no. 1 edger. with a center bar buckle. Edges of the belt shall The belt is not furnished Material. Leather. 4、rain cattlehide, midew resistant treated type and shall be dyed black and finished smoothly on the grain side. The thickness shall be as follows; main body 8 ounce, keeper 4 ounce, loop 6 ounce. 8、nform to a small wire spring clamp type, with a black finish. The snap fastener shall consist of the following components: button, socket, stud and eyelet. The button shall be 1/2 inch in diameter, and all other components shall interface with the button. A total of three snap fasteners are required

9、. Sizes and Lenaths. sizes and overall lengths: (Length tolerance, f 1/8 inch) The belt shall be provided in the following Length 34 42 - Label/Markinq. The letters WSv; and the belt size shall be indented or legibly stamped with black or red indelible marking ink, in 3/16 inch high characters. The

10、manufacturers name, year manufactured and contract number shall be in 3/32 inch high characters. All markings shall appear on the flesh side. . Workmanshb. After completion, the finished belt shall be thoroughly cleaned, and all foreign matter removed. Leather components shall be free from any cut,

11、damaged grain, scratch, hole, brand, hip mark and loose spongy leather. The items shall be uniform in quality and shall be free from irregularities or defects which adversely affect appearance, reliability or durability. Product Demonstration Model. When required, offerers shall submit samples of th

12、eir intended production. The Product Demonstration Model will consist of units independently developed. Product Demonstration Models will be analyzed and evaluated by the government. Evaluation criteria and basis for award are contained in the solicitation. Product Demonstration Models will be retai

13、ned by the government. One (1) Product Demonstration Model approved by DPSC under the resultant contract will serve as a manufacturing standard for the corresponding production items delivered under this contract. Offerers are advised that the Product Demonstration Model does not relieve the success

14、ful offerer of his responsibility to perform in accordance with the Commercial Item Description specified above. Quality Assurance Certification. offered meets the salient characteristics of this description and that the prbduct conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards and q

15、uality assurance practices. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to the first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for, under the provisions of the contract. 17、rements of the contract. Examination. Belt lots shall be inspected in accordance with llSampling Procedures and Tables for Inspection by Attributes“, ANSI/ASQC 21.4, published by the American Society for Quality Control. Visual Examination. The belt shall be examined for the defects listed below. Th

18、e lot size shall be expressed in units of belts. The sample unit is one belt. The inspection level shall be II and the acceptable quality level (AQL), expressed in terms of defects per hundred units, shall be 2.0. Defects. The belt shall be examined for the following defects: color or finish not as

19、specified, color not uniform, grain side not smooth finished, tacky or cracked finish. Leather; any hole, cut, tear, wrinkle, color not as specified; any spot or stain (grain side or flesh side) marking missing, incorrect, or illegible; measurement of item not as specified, fastener not functioning

20、properly (i.e., fails to snap closed to provide a secure closure or to open freely), failure to interface with a center bar buckle. Dimensional Examination. The finished belt shall conform to the dimensions specified. Any dimension that is not within the established tolerance shall be classified as

21、a defect. The sample unit shall be one belt; the inspection level shall be S-3 and the AQL, expressed in terms of defects per hundred units, shall be 1.5. Packaaing Examination. shall be examined in accordance with defects listed below. The lot size shall be the number of shipping containers in the

22、inspection lot. The inspection level shall be S-2 and AQL, expressed in terms of defects per hundred units, shall be 1.0.
