National foreword This document (EN 1793-1:2017) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 226 “Road equipment” (Secretariat: AFNOR, F
6、rance). The responsible German body involved in its preparation was DIN-Normenausschuss Bauwesen (DIN Standards Committee Building and Civil Engineering), Working Committee NA 005-10-26 AA “Noise reducing devices (national mirror committee to CEN/TC 226/WG 6)”. At the beginning of 2013, the responsi
7、ble German Working Committee decided to make a change to the German titles of the DIN EN 1793 series of standards. It was decided to change the German term Lrmschutzeinrichtung to Lrmschutzvorrichtung (noise reducing device) in all of the titles. The German titles in the series have thus been modifi
8、ed. Some inconsistencies will remain as regards these titles (e.g. in the Normative References or Bibliographies) until all of the standards in the DIN EN 1793 series and other related standards are revised. Amendments This standard differs from DIN EN 1793-1:2013-04 as follows: a) the description o
9、f the test arrangement has been amended; b) the method for determining sound absorption coefficients in each one-third octave band, according to EN ISO 354, has been modified: the Sabine absorption coefficient Sihas been replaced by a new absorption coefficient NRD,ithat is specific to noise reducin
10、g devices and which takes account of the volume of the test sample (a new coefficient NRD,i can be derived from Si); c) the contents of the test report have been defined in more detail; d) the declaration of the measurement uncertainty and the related confidence level are now mandatory. The reported
11、 uncertainties have an impact on the determination of informative categories of single number rating performance; depending on the performance of the product, this could potentially result in products being downgraded to a lower category. As a result, the informative annex addressing categories of s
12、ingle number rating has been removed. The performance of the noise reducing device is, from now on, only to be reported in terms of the numeric values of the single number rating; e) a detailed example has been added (Annex C).
