4、mittee CEN/TC 150 “Industrial trucks Safety” (Secretariat: BSI, United Kingdom). The responsible German body involved in its preparation was the Normenausschuss Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering Standards Committee), Technical Committee Flurfrderzeuge of Section Frdertechnik. Amendment of the Eur
5、opean Machinery Directive has made it necessary to review the previously valid standard, EN 13059:2002, in terms of the essential requirements of the new European Machinery Directive, 2006/42/EC. This standard contains specifications meeting the essential requirements set out in Annex I of the “Mach
6、inery Directive”, Directive 98/37/EC, (valid until 28 December 2009) and the “revised Machinery Directive”, Directive 2006/42/EC, which takes effect on 29 December 2009, and which apply to industrial trucks that are either first placed on the market or commissioned within the EEA. This standard serv
7、es to facilitate proof of compliance with the essential requirements of the directives. Once this standard is cited in the Official Journal of the European Union, it is deemed a “harmonized” standard and thus, a manufacturer applying this standard may assume compliance with the requirements of the M
8、achinery Directive (“presumption of conformity”). The European Standards referred to in clause 2 and in the bibliography of the EN have been published as the corresponding DIN EN or DIN EN ISO Standards with the same number. This standard makes reference to documents which were valid as of the publi
9、cation of the European standard. Since then, the standards EN 292-1 and EN 292-2 have been withdrawn and replaced. Instead of EN 292-1 it is recommended to use DIN EN ISO 12100-1:2004-04, Safety of machinery Basic concepts, general principles for design Part 1: Basic terminology, methodology and ins
10、tead of EN 292-2 it is recommended to use DIN EN ISO 12100-2:2004-04 Safety of machinery Basic concepts, general principles for design Part 2: Technical principles. DIN EN 1070:1998 has been withdrawn without replacement. Draft standard prEN 12937 cited in the bibliography has been withdrawn and rep
11、laced. Instead, it is recommended to use EN ISO 12100-2. DIN EN 13059:2009-06 3 Amendments This standard differs from DIN EN 13059:2002-10 as follows: a) Annex ZA (informative) “Relationship between this European Standard and the Essential Requirements of EU Directive 98/37/EC” has been updated. b)
12、Annex ZB (informative) “Relationship between this European Standard and the Essential Requirements of EU Directive 2006/42/EC” has been added. c) The standard has been editorially revised. d) The title of the standard has been modified.
