15、in, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. 1 Scope This standard establishes rules for the design and calculation of welded static, vertical, non-pressurised, cylindrical, flat-bottom thermoplastic tanks. This standard applies to tanks fabricated in the following thermoplastics: Polyethylene (P

16、E) Polypropylene (PP) Poly (vinyl chloride) (PVC) Poly (vinylidene fluoride) (PVDF) This standard does not take into account wind and/or snow loading.lf wind or/and snow loading has to be taken into account additional calculations are necessary. This standard is applicable to tanks in which the cyli

17、ndrical shell is made of welded plates or a wound cylinder or an extruded pipe. The calculation takes into account short-term and long-term active pressures as well as the hydrostatic loading. The following values are long-term pressures and represent the limiting values: Overpressure: 0,0005 N/mm2

18、(0,005 bar) Low pressure: 0,0003 Nhm (0,003 bar) This standard is only applicable to tanks which are not intended to withstand internal pressure or vacuum, other than that which may occur during the transfer of fluids (including gases) in their normal operation. 34、les General principles shall be according to prEN 12573-1:1999. 5 Temperature The effective wall temperature is an important factor in determining the dimensions of a tank. The cylinder and base components shall be designed using the average temperature of the contents TM. The roof component shall b

35、e designed using the average of the two neighbouring air temperatures. The air temperature in the tank is assumed to be TM . The surrounding air temperature TA for indoor installation is assumed to be 20 OC. Figure 5 indicates the temperature zones. The temperature of the roof shall be calculated ac

36、cording to equation (1). The wall t

37、hickness shall be determined by the ring tensile stress resulting from the contents and overpressure at the lower edge of the cylinder. The minimum wall thickness shall be at least 4 mm. In the case of cylinders made from sheets, the appropriate long-term welding factor shall be used in the calculat

38、ion of aal. according to EN 1778. The values for other materials are relative to the value for PE-HD. 6.2.2 Multilayered cylinders Multilayered cylinders shall be calculated according to 6.2.1 including a factor C3 and assuming that: 1. only two layers are allowed, see figure 6 *) Fo
