12、ary 1970 edition: see Explanatory notes. Explanatory notes Whilst applying the standards for compression couplings, a variety of difficulties were encountered with respect to the assembly of the couplings. This applied particularly to ring type nipples and banjo bolts. Whilst preparing the standards

13、, Working Group Kugelbuchsverschraubungen of Technical Committee Rohrverschraubungen decided to withdraw the December 1969 edition of each of the following standards: DIN 7632 Part 2; DIN 7634; DIN 7635; DIN 7636; DIN 7641; DIN 7642 Part 2; DIN 7647 Part 2. They were then withdrawn in 1984. On the o

14、ne hand it was felt that there was no demand for these standards and on the other, that the application of these standards no longer conformed to the present state of technology. The series symbol LL has been dropped as these compression couplings could not be allocated to a particular series on the

15、 basis of pressure. It was not considered necessary to compile standards for every external pipe diameter and felt that the 3 mm external pipe diameter could be dispensed with. Compression couplings for pipes with external diameters of 4 and 5 mm have been given the same dimensions and the same symbol for the designation. The title of the standard has been amended.
