8、This amendment to DIN 14811:2008-01 has been prepared by DIN-Normenausschuss Feuerwehrwesen (FNFW) (DIN Standards Committee Firefighting and Fire Protection), Working Committee NA 031-04-04 AA Schluche und Armaturen (SpA zu CEN/TC 192/WG 1 und WG 8). Hoses as in this standard serve to convey fire ex

9、tinguishing media. When empty, such hoses can be rolled or folded flat. This amendment to DIN 14811 was necessary to bring the standard up to the current state of technology. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. DIN sha

19、” DIN 14811/A1:2012-03 5 5 Amendments in 5.3.2.2 “Binding wire” The text of the subclause has been replaced by the following: “For hoses with a diameter 75 mm, the wire used for binding shall be non-corroding or corrosion protected and have a diameter of 1,4 mm to 1,6 mm. For hoses with a diameter 7

20、5 mm, the wire used for binding shall be non-corroding or corrosion protected and have a diameter of 1,8 mm. The binding wire shall exhibit a tensile strength of at least 500 N/mm2 and an elongation at break of 6 % to 15 % for a measured length equal to 35 the wire diameter.” 6 Amendments in 5.3.2.3

24、.” 7 Amendments in 6.1.3 “Minimum burst pressure” After the first sentence, the following sentence has been added: “The hose may only burst in a lengthwise direction along the hose.” 8 Amendment in 6.2 “Adhesion” The third paragraph has been replaced by the following text: “Determine adhesion using

25、a power-driven grip having a rate of travel that, in deviation from DIN EN ISO 8033, provides a rate of ply separation of (100 5) mm/min.” 9 Amendments in 6.6 “Flame resistance” The text of the subclause has been replaced by the following: “The flame resistance of hoses (i.e. their behaviour under f

26、lame exposure) shall be tested in accordance with Annex I. At least three of the test pieces (out of the four) shall pass the endurance test with the following times: for class 1 and class 2 hoses: 10 s; for class 3 hoses: 30 s. The test is deemed to have been passed if three of the four test pieces

28、ollowing: “7 High pressure layflat hoses for high pressure pumps and anti-static hoses 7.1 High pressure layflat hoses for high pressure pumps For layflat hoses for use at working pressures higher than those given in Table 7 (e.g. those for use with an EN 1028-1 FPH 40 250 firefighting pump), the wo

29、rking pressure for which the hose is designed shall be at least 4 MPa (40 bar), the proof pressure at least 6 MPa (60 bar) and the burst pressure at least 10 MPa (100 bar). There shall be no limit to the mass of high pressure layflat hoses, nor to the bending radii for hoses having a normal working

30、pressure higher than 2 MPa (20 bar). 7.2 Anti-static hoses Anti-static hoses generally fall into class 2. These hoses are to be black in colour, have a conductive inner lining and a jacket strengthened with copper strands to deflect electrostatic charge. The electrical conductivity of the hose shall

31、 be 106 at 100 V measured from coupling to coupling. This electrical conductivity shall be reached without exposing the copper strands and having them in contact with the coupling. Anti-static hoses in accordance with this standard shall be used with hose couplings that comply with standards for bra

32、ss couplings (if applicable). Anti-static hoses intended for use in Germany shall be used in combination with the couplings listed in Table 11. Every coupling shall be equipped with a detachable M 8 wing nut or the ability to attach a partly insulated or low-sparking clamping assembly or be equipped

33、 for plug connections (see DIN 14555-12:2005-04, Annex A). To do this, the laboratory takes test pieces from current production and/or hoses from the finished goods warehouse without giving prior notice at intervals of 2 to 5 years. The laboratory

38、 determines by carrying out the inspection, whether or not the manufacturer meets the requirements of 4.1, paragraph 2.” 14 Amendments in Annex C “Hose assembly test” In C.2 the first paragraph has been replaced by the following text: “Raise the pressure to proof pressure as specified in Table 7 and

The test pieces shall be assembled with the connecting piece of the relevant coupling specified in 5.3. I.1.2 Number of test pieces The test shall be c

43、 pieces shall be stored in dry condition for 24 h at a room temperature of 20 C to 22 C. No special conditioning in a drying cabinet is necessary. I.2 Apparatus and accessories I.2.1 Burning chamber The burning chamber shall be closed on all sides and shall conform to Figure I.1. The burning chamber

44、 shall be made of stainless steel sheet about 1,5 mm thick. Only the front wall, a horizontally sliding door, is to be made of polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA). The right-hand side wall shall be of two steel sheets that are slid into place from above through grooves. A semi-circle is cut into the uppe

45、r edge of one piece and the lower edge of the other piece in such a fashion that the opening formed when the two pieces are placed together encloses the inserted hose as tightly as possible. 47、re I.2 shall serve as the flame source. The forced air supply pre-mixing burner comprises a two chamber mixer and a three chamber nozzle. The protective shield is situated above the burner and can be pivoted above the flame to prote
