4、e used for equipment submitted to testing in accordance with ETC 300 328 intended for wideband data systems using spread spectrum modulation techniques. The application form shall be completed by the applicant and submitted to a test laboratory accredited in accordance with EN45001 or IS0 guide 25 o
5、r a national standard conforming to EN45001 or IS0 guide 25. PLERSE READ THE FOLLOWING NOTES Note (a) Mimbar of items for twe testing More than one item of equipment may be required to be submitted for type testing where an equipment needs to be modified to provide connections to facilitate testing,
6、 i.e. measurements requiring direct connections to be made, for example audio measurements. In such cases a second un-modified equipment may be required for radiated measurements i.e. case or cabinet radiation or ERP (effective radiated power) measurements to be performed. Full details of modificati
7、ons are to be provided. When a family of products is submitted for type approval, each product of the family that has different operational features (e.g. different output power) shall carry a unique type designation. Nota ib) Accessories it is the applicants responsibility when submitting equipment
8、(s) to the test laboratory to provide appropriate connectors to facilitate the connection of test equipment by the test laboratory to the equipment under test (E.U.T.). This should enable: 1) access to the equipment RF power output (transmitter); 2) means of connecting the equipment to an external p
9、ower supply. It is the applicants responsibility to provide host equipment and/or test jig(s) as applicable. See ETS 300 328, clause 6.5 and see “Other items supplied“ in this document. Note (c) Pre-production models For type approval to be granted on the basis of tests conducted on a pre- productio
10、n model, that model must be manufactured to the same production drawings and manufacturers specification as the later production models. Where this is not the case, the national regulatory authority reserves the right to require either partial or full type testing to be carried out on the final prod
11、uction equipment. Note (d) ADD licants reswnsibilities it is the applicants responsibility to ensure that the equipment meets all the regulatory requirements for marking in the country where he is seeking type approval. Note (e) ADP licants declaration The applicant shall declare (see ETS 300 328 Cl
12、ause 4.1) the following specific characteristics of the equipment: The aggregate bit rate (see sub-clause 3.1 for the definition); The type of modulation used: frequency hopping spread spectrum modulation (FHSS), direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) modulation or another type of spread spectrum mo
13、dulation; The duty cycle of the transmitter and the typical ON and OFF periods (Tx on and Tx off). Where frequency hopping spread spectrum modulation is used: the number of hopping channels, the dwell time per channel, the maximum time between two instances of use of the same channel and the frequen
14、cy separation between the highest and lowest hop frequencies. The operating frequency range(s) of the equipment; The type of the equipment, stand-alone combined unit or plug-in card; The extreme operating conditions that apply to the equipment offered for testing; The gain of the antenna(s) assembly
