44、to the clamp cushion to ensure wires do not ultimately contact the metal band causing short circuits in electrical systems. Although original configurations incorporated additional material in the closure area, they did not form a perfectly rounded configuration in 1/4 of the loop clamp thus reducin

45、g contact with the tube. This resulted in tube movement causing abrasion and clamp breakage. This condition was addressed with the “Full Contoured” wedge, and a tube retention requirement.
