NOTE1 Forthelargersizesofropetherecanbemorethanonelayerofhal

NOTE2 Forpracticalmanufacturingreasonstheactualnumberofwiresintheouterlayercanvarybutshouldnotdosoby morethanonewirefromthatspecifiedbythemanufacturer. 5.3.3.2 Halflockedcoilguiderope Theropeshallconsistofanouterlayerofalternatehalflockandroundwireslaidoveraninnerlayerorlayersofr

Forropesizesuptoandincluding41mminropegradesuptoandincluding1080,theouterwiresize(i.e.theheightof theshapedwireandthediameteroftheroundwire)shallnotbelessthan17,5%ofthenominalropediameter. Forropesinexcessof41mmdiameterinropegradesabove1080,theminimumheightofthesha

33、pedwireshallbe 7,6mm. Thediameteroftheroundwireintheoutercovershallbewithin10%oftheheightoftheshapedwire. 5.3.3.3 Fulllockedcoilguideropes Theropeshallconsistofanouterlayeroffulllockwireslaidoveranunderlayinglayerofhalflockandroundwires andastrandcentreofroundwires. 5.4Diameter 5.4.1Tolerances Whenm

34、easuredinaccordancewith6.3.1ofEN123851:2002themeasureddiametershallbewithin 2% of the nominaldiameter. NOTE Specifiers,purchasersandusersshouldrecognizethatlockedcoilropesformineshaftsare,moreoftenthannot, speciallydesignedbytheropemanufacturertomeetparticularshaftconditionsandmachineryrequirementsa

35、ndparticular attentionshouldbegiventotheselectionofthecorrectsizeofropeandassociateddiametertolerance. 5.4.2 Differencebetweendiametermeasurements Thedifferencebetweenanytwoofthefourmeasurementstakeninaccordancewith6.3.1ofEN123851:2002shall notexceed4%ofthenominalropediameter.EN123857:2002(E) 7 5.5B
