Two preferred methods are described as follows. a) Bottle sampling from operating systems via sampling valves (dynamic source). b) Bottle sampling from static sources, i.e.containers which can be agitated. A further, non-preferred, method is described for

This method involves the taking of bottle samples of hyd
13、raulic fluid from operating fluid power systems via sampling valves provided for that purpose. As it is important that the fluid samples should represent a functioning condition of the hydraulic power system, they should, for comparison purposes, be taken at the same location of each type of system.
14、 To satisfy this requirement the designer should specify strategic sampling points, which should preferably be at a point of turbulence. It is desirable that the sampling point should be a valve which is permanently installed. Care should be exercised, when laying down the sampling procedure, to ens
15、ure that the sample is not affected by filters or external pumping systems connected to the system for maintenance purposes. It is important that significant operational demands be made on the system during the period that the sample is being taken. 3.2 Equipment. The following equipment shall be pr

The valve or any tubing shall be suitably capped or protected to prevent the ingress of particulate m

19、paration and cleaning of equipment. The sampling valve shall be kept protected by a protection cap at all times when it is not in use. Prior to extracting the sample, the sample bottle and closure shall be cleaned by employing the following procedure. a) Wash with warm tap water containing detergent
20、. b) Rinse with warm tap water. c) Rinse with distilled or demineralized water. d) Rinse thoroughly with filtered propan-2-ol. e) Rinse thoroughly with filtered solvent as defined in3.2 f). f) Allow to drain for a few seconds, then fit the cap under clean conditions; alternatively, allow the bottle
21、to dry before fitting cap. It is recommended that bottles be cleaned to achieve a blank count of less than500 particles above5m per bottle by the counting method which will ultimately be used to count the hydraulic fluid sampled.
