These are the pressure and temperature uponwhich the strength of the pressure-containing envelope isbased.3.3 hydrostatic test pressurethe maximum test pressurethat the valve is required to withstand without d

Valveoperation is not required during application of this test pres-sure, but after the pressure has been removed, the valve mustmeet all performance requirements.3.4 lockup pressurethe outlet pressure delivered by apressure-reducing valve under shutoff conditions (that is, whenthe flow deman
19、d is reduced to a point where it is equal to orless than the allowable leakage as defined in 8.3).3.5 nominal pressurethe approximate maximum pressureto which the valve will be subjected in service under normalconditions.3.6 set pressurethe downstream pressure which the valveis set to maintain under

Classification4.1 Valves shall be of the following compositions andpressure ratings, as specified (see Section 5 and 6.1.7).
