Scope*1.1 This specification covers commercial zinc alloys
3、 iningot form for remelting for the manufacture of castings fromthe alloys as specified and designated as shown in Table 1.1.2 Slush casting alloys are used primarily for the manufac-ture of hollow castings such as lighting fixtures, lamp bases,and small statues.1.3 This specification covers two zin
4、c alloys which arespecified and designated as follows:UNS ASTMZ34510 Slush Casting Alloy AZ30500 Slush Casting Alloy B1.4 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematicalconversions to SI units that are provided for information onl

Materials and Manufacture5.1 The alloys may be made by any approved process.5.2 The material cover
16、ed by this specification shall be ofuniform quality and shall be free from dross, slag, or otherharmful contamination. The ingot shall also be reasonably freeof surface corrosion and adhering foreign matter.6. Chemical Requirements Chemical Requirements6.1 LimitsThis alloy shall conform to the requi
17、rements asto chemical composition prescribed in Table 1. Conformanceshall be determined by the producer by analyzing samplestaken at the time the ingots are made. If the producer hasdetermined the chemical composition of the metal during thecourse of manufacture, he shall not be required to sample a
