In the event of a conflict between he text of this specification

20、and the references cited herein except for associated detail specifications, specification sheets or MS standards), the text of this specification shall take precedence. Nothing in this specification, however, shall supersede applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtai

21、ned. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Material. Materials shall be in accordance with applicable drawings and specifications. 3.2 Components and assemblies. The components and assemblies shall comply with all requirements specified on drawings and specifications referenced therein. 3.3 Detonatinq cord assembly o

22、utput test. The detonator cord when taped to a 6061-0 aluminum witness plate .lo0 inch thick and initiated at ambient temperature by a detonator, shall provide a score, tactile with the fingernail, in the aluminum witness plate. 3.4 Electric detonator performance characteristics. 3.4.1 Detonator ass

23、embly resistance test. The detonator assembly shall have a resistance at the end of the leads of 1.15 + - .25 ohms while at ambient temperature. 3.4.2 No fire test. The electric detonator shall not fire when subjected to the electrical current of 1 ampere minimum for 5 minutes minimum while at 75F+1

24、00F. 3.4.3 All fire test. The electric detonator shall fire on the first attempt when subjected to the application of a DC current not to exceed 3 amperes in amplitude for a maximum period of 50 milliseconds while at that 75OF+1OoF. 3.4.4 Dent test. The minimum dent in a steel witness plate generate

25、d by the electric detonator placed directly against the center of the witness plate shall not be less than 9.5 mil, when fired at ambient temperature. The witness plate shall be 5/8 inch thick, cold finish steel No. C1018 or C1020 having a hardness of Rockwell B70 to B95. 3.4.5 Waterproofness test.

26、The electric detonator shall fire after being subjected to soaking for 48 hours in 75OF+5OF of water . 3.4.6 Cold temperature function. The bellows actuator shall X fire after being conditioned at 2 hours at S160F+50F. Linear pyrotechnic actuator performance characte

The Linear Pyrotechnic actuator shall not fire when subjected to the electrical current of 1 ampere minimum for 5 minutes minimum while at 75O+1OoF. - 3.5.3 All fire test. The Linear Pyrotechnic actua

29、tor shall fire on the first attempt when subjected to the application of a DC current not to exceed 4.5 amperes in amplitude for a maximum period of 10 milleseconds while at 75+100F. 3.5.4 Output test. The Linear Pyrotechnic actuator shall produce a force of 15 inch pounds at 60 angle or 30 inch pou

30、nds at 15O angle when electrical current is applied. 3.5.5 Functioninq test. The Linear Pyrotechnic actuator shall function by extending for a stroke length of 0.50 inch minimum in 25.0 milliseconds maximum when electrical current is applied while at 75F+100F. 3.6 First article inspection. This spec

31、ification contains technical provisions for first article inspection. Requirements for the submission of first article samples by the contractor shall be as specified in the contract. 3.7 Workmanship. All parts and assemblies shall be fabricated and assembled in a thorough, workmanlike manner. They

32、shall be free of burrs, chips, sharp edges, cracks, surface defects, dirt, grease, rust, corrosion products and other foreign matter. The cleaning method used shall not be injurious to any part nor shall the parts be contaminated by the cleaning agent. All required markings shall be neat and sharply

33、 defined. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase o

34、rder, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. The Governmnet reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections a

35、re deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. Unless otherwi ecf herein or in the contract, the provisions of MIL-A-z$O% skaffd apply and are hereby made a part 9 this detail specification. The inspection set forth in this specification shall become a part of the contractors overall inspection system or quality program. The absen

37、ce of any inspection requirements in the specification shall not relieve the contractor of the responsibility of assuring that all products or supplies submitted to the Government for acceptance comply with all requirements of the contract. Sampling in quality conformance does not authorize submissi

38、on of known defective material, either indicated or actual, nor does it commit the Government to acceptance of defective material. 4.2 Classification of inspections. The following types of inspection shall be conducted on this item: a. First article inspection b. Quality conformance inspection 4.3 F

39、irst article inspection. 4.3.1 Submission. The contractor shall submit a first article sample as designated by the contracting officer for evaluation in accordance with provisions of 4.3.2 and 4.3.3. The first article sample shall consist of parts/assemblies and sample quantities listed in Table I.
