In the event of a conflict between the text of this specification and the references cited
8、herein the text of this specification, shall take precedence. Nothing in this specification, however, shall supersede applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3,l General description. The Battery Eliminator set includes a Battery Eliminator Assem
9、bly and three cable assemblies. Electrical connections are made via connectors (5) mounted on two sides of the enclosure. Connections are made through 5 cable assemblies used to interface the Battery Eliminator Assembly to facility 220/240 VAC power, the THM/TG plus and minus 12 VDC inputs, and the
10、THM/TG ECU control and power inputs. When integrated at a RETS range site the Battery Eliminator set will provide a THM/TG target assembly witha power source (see Figure l), that in previous inst-allations was provided by a 12-VDC lead acid battery. manufactured in accordance with Drawing 12934455 a
11、nd Military Specifications MIL-F-13926 and MIL-STD-454. applicable drawings and specifications. 3.1.1 Fabrication. The Battery Eliminator Assembly shall be 3.1.2 Materials. Materials shall be in accordance with the 3.1.3 Components and Assemblies. The components and assemblies shall comply with all
12、requirements specified in this drawings and on Drawing 12934455, and all associated drawings, and with all requirements specified in applicable specifications and standards. 3.2 Functions. 3.2.1 Output Voltaqes. The Battery Eliminator Assembly converts facility input power to two independent DC outp
13、ut power sources, as shown below. a. 12 VDC unregulated 200 AMP NOMINAL b. 12 VDC regulated 0,5 AMP NOMINAL 3.3 Performance requirements. The Battery Eliminator Assembly shall be capable of operating from a single phase input power source providing 198 to 264 VAC, 50 or 60 Hz. The DC output voltages
14、 shall be as follows: with a load of 24 +1.0 ohms connected between the output voltage terminals of J1 Pi.: B(+) and J1 Pin A(-) the output voltage shall.be 10.55 t0.5 VDC with a maximum AC component of 250 mVpp. . 3.3.1 Requlated 12 VDC. At 240 VAC, 60 Hz input and a 60 +5 milliohms load connected between P2 (- BLK) and P1 (+ RED) the out
17、put voltage shall not be less than 7.5 VDC nor greater than 11.5 VDC, For input voltages different than 240 VAC, the output voltage shall be proportionately greater or less than the stated values over the 198 to 264 VAC range. e Table I. 20、erature. 3.4.1.1 Operatinq. The Battery Eliminator Assembly shall meet the requirements of 3.3 when stabilized thermally at -25 deg. F and t110 deg. F. 3.4.1.2 Non-Operatinq (Storaqe). The Battery Eliminator Assembly shall meet the requirements of 3.3 after being subjected to at least two (2) hours
21、at each temperature extreme of -28 deg. F and +145 deg. F. 3.4.2 Vibration (Non-Operatinq). The Battery Eliminator Assembly shall meet the requirements of 3.3 after being subjected to the vibration test in accordance with 4.7.2.9. 3.4.3 Electrostatic Discharqe (Non-Operatinq). The Battery Eliminator
22、 Assembly shall meet the requirements of 3.3 after being subjected to electrostatic discharges to connectors, switches, and frame. Electrostatic discharge test in accordance with 4.7.2.6. Assembly shall meet the requirements of 3.3 and shall not sustain damage after being subjected to a packaged ite
23、m drop test in accordance with 4.7.2.10. 3.4.4 Packaqinq Test (Non-Operatinq). The Battery Eliminator 3.4.5 Reliability (Operatinq). The Battery Eliminator Assembly when operated at the specified loads in accordance with 3.3 shall exhibit a specified Mean Cycle Between Failure (MCBF) of 1500 cycles,
24、 with a minimum acceptable MCBF of 750 cycles. The Battery Eliminator Assembly shall be tested in accordance with Test Plan VIIIC of MIL-STD-781. A cycle shall be defined as raising and lowering a THM/TG target. The target may consist of any of the following: a. A plywood form 8 feet by 12 feet by 1
