The General Services Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description (CID) for all federal agencies. 1. SCOPE. This CID covers electrical conta

2、cts used in waterproof, electrical connectors. 1.1 Classlficatlon * . Contacts covered by this CID shall be classified as follows: Size 1 - No. 12 A.W.G. Size 2 - No. 14 A.W.G. Size 3 - No. 16 A.W.G. 2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS 2.1 Materials. Unless otherwise specified, contacts covered by this CID s

3、hall be made of M hard brass (236000) conforming to ASTM B16/B16M, temper 1/2 hard, and annealed after machining at 450 degrees Celsius (“C) 840 degrees Fahrenheit (“F), for 1 hour, and silver plating conforming to SAE AMs 2412F with 0.005 millimeters (mm) minimum thickness. The use of recovered mat

4、erial made in compliance with regulatory requirements is acceptable providing that all requirements of this CID are met (see 3.1). 11、erials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). 4.
