Comparison of CISPR 11 Limits and FCC Part 18 Limits 4.1 Fundamental ISM frequencies Certain frequencies are designated
17、 by the International telecommunication Union (ITU) for use as funda- mental frequencies for ISM equipment. At these frequencies unlimited power can be radiated because no limits are set. However, limits apply to harmonics and spurious radiation. The fundamental ISM frequencies are shown in Table 1.

20、sures to achieve compatibility may be necessary where other equipment satisfying immunity require- ments (e.g., CISPR 20) is placed close to ISM equipment. Use of these frequency bands is subject to special authorization by administrations concerned in agreement with other administrations whose radi
21、o communication services might be affected. the US., frequency range is 2445-2455. the US., frequency range is 24 000-24 500. 4.2 Groups and classes of equipment In CISPR 11:1997, there are two groups and two classes of equipment. They are as follows: - Group 1 ISM equipment intentionally generates
22、and/or uses conductively coupled radio-frequency energy, which is necessary for the internal functioning of the equipment itself. Group 2 ISM equipment intentionally generates and/or uses this energy in the form of electromag- netic radiation for the treatment of material and spark erosion equipment
23、. - The FCC Part 18 applies only to Group 2 ISM Equipment. For Group 1 Equipment, FCC Part 15 applies. - - Class A ISM equipment is for use in all establishments other than domestic. 24、11-2000 ANSI STANDARD FOR LIMITS AND METHODS OF MEASUREMENT CHARACTERISTICS The FCC has no classes of equipment. In general, only Group 2, Class A equipment is covered by FCC Part 18.
