At a minimumthe detector shall contain a smoke (particulate) sensor. The products of combustion may consist of visibleas well as invisible s

34、moke particles, gases, heat, radiant energy, and water vapor The detector includesprovision for the connection to a source of power, signaling, and optional remote control circuits.Additional functionality, such as a heat detector, heat sensor, or audible signaling appliance/device, ispermitted to b

46、 for that component, except that suchrequirements may be modified for the particular application.2.2 Components2.2.1 Except as indicated in 2.2.2, a component of a product covered by this standard shall comply withthe requirements for that component. See Annex E for a list of standards covering comp

47、onents generallyused in the products covered by this standard.2.2.2 A component is not required to comply with a specific requirement that:a) Involves a feature or characteristic not required in the application of the component in theproduct covered by this statement orb) Is superseded by a requirem

48、ent in this standard.2.2.3 A component shall be used in accordance with its rating established for the intended conditions ofuse.2.2.4 Specific components are incomplete in construction features or restricted in performancecapabilities.
