The film frame in which al nine patches have a den- sity of 0.30 to 0.40 shall be used as the uniform illumina- tio

32、n test card. 1 Scope 4.3 Resolution Test Card This standard describes a test procedure for intimate contact and even exposure when contact printing on a duplicate card. It only deals with direct imaging diazo film duplication. The two test cards described may be produced by the user. All measurement

The test aperture cards shall be silver gelatin originals. 4.2 Uniform Illumination Test Card. The test

36、target layout shail consist of nine patches of approximately 25 percent reflectance material. They shall be positioned in accordance with Figure 1. The gray patches shall be at least 150 mm (6 inches) square. These test cards are available from MIM. The test card shall consist of five NBS 1010 Resol

37、u- tion Test Charts on a white background and spaced as shown in Figure 2. The filmed image at 1:30 shall have a background density of 1.00 to 1.20. The resolution targets shall resolve at least 4.5 line pairs per millimeter. The targets shall be numbered from one to five and the resoIution of each

38、target recorded. 5 Test Procedure 5.1 Numination (1) Position the uniform illumination test card in the duplicator so that the silver emuIsion of the test card is in direct contact with the sensitive surface of the duplicate microfilm card. (2) Expose a duplicate card at each exposure setting. Measu

39、re the density of the center patch on each of the diazo duplicates and select the card whose center patch most closely measures to the density of the original test card, (0.30 to 0.40) as the optimum setting. (3) At the optimum setting, expose three diazo cards and record the density of each of the

40、patches. 5.2 Resolution (1) Position the resolution test card in the duplicator so that the silver gelatin emulsion of the test card is in direct contact with the sensitive surface of the duplicate card. (2) At the optimum setting, expose three diazo cards and record the resolution of each resolutio

41、n target. 6 EvaIuation 6.1 Numination. When tested in accordance with section 5.1 (3), readings exceeding 0.10 density variation from the corresponding patch on the test card indicates the need for duplicator adjustment or service. 1 -. 42、resolution readings on the duplicator with the corresponding targets on the test card, A loss of more than one pattern indicates a need for duplicator adjustment or service. 6.3 Recording of Results. A blank evaluation recording sheet (see Figure 3) may be duplicated and used to record results. 129.
