2、ists the three B-deviations requested by Germany to HD 398.1. 4、ratedvoltage being applied also at a frequency which devi.ates from the ra.ted frequency up to rtl 2.5 %.I1 This sub-clause is completed as follows : Generator transformers having a rated power up to 40 MVA and auxiliary supply transformers connected to generators shall withstand 1.3 times the rated

5、 voltage for 5 min in the event of a sudden load rejection! II The following sentence is added : “Unequal. tapping steps shall be useu 4 only by agreekent , except for special transformers.“ e JUSTIFICATION At the Frankfurt meeting of February 1979, it was agreed that Germany will propose. this addi

6、tion to the IEC and that, pending the decisions of the IEC, Germany viill keep this requirement in the German rules as a B-deviation This deviation is needed, in Germany, for generators when regulation has to be carried out manually, so that an al- lowable period of 5 s, as stated in the IEC standar

7、d, is not sufficient. The need for this deviation isdecreas- ing and it is expected that it will be possible to with- dfaw this deviation within 5 years. In some cases, unequal tab, -ni steps have been used, but thii solution may lead to dizficul. ties in case of parallel ope- ration. It is expected

8、 that this B-deviation rill be withdrawn within 5 years. .# * -3-. HD 398.q HD 398.1 POIITER TRANSFORMERS PART 1 : GENERAL The full text of IEC Publication 76-1 (1976) shall apply, except for following clauses where CENELEC common modifications have been agreed. 5.2 AMENDMENT Ldd a note as follows :

REASON These items of information are needed by the user of the transformers as they have to be taken into account when using the transformers and it is sensible to put them on the rating plate. These itenis of information are necessary for the operation of the transformer.
