35、specifiedfor the PFD.Exception: In order to comply with 36.2.5, the entire label is able to be uniformly reduced up to 15 percenton an infant device when the format and all relative proportions are preserved.36.2.5 The complete text of the PFD label shall be visible when donning and lie entirely on

36、one continuoussurface of the device.36.2.6 A marking shall be included on both sides of a buddy line or the outside of a pocket in which abuddy line is stowed, in letters at least 12 mm (1/2 inch) high, with the words, NOT FOR LIFTING.36.3 Use and Care Instructions or Care Instructions36.3.1 A devic

37、e shall be marked with either Use and Care Instructions or Care Instructions includingmanufacturers recommended cleaning, drying, and storage instructions. The cleaning and dryinginstructions shall comply with the Federal Trade Commission Rule 16 (CFR 423 ). The minimum careinstruction shall indicat

38、e WARNING - DO NOT DRY CLEAN, unless all critical components of the devicehave been evaluated to the Standard for Components for Personal Flotation Devices, UL 1191, followingperchloroethylene exposure.36.4 Sewn Labels36.4.1 If required markings are not printed directly on the outer shell or lining

39、of a device, the material onwhich the markings are printed shall comply with the requirements in paragraphs 36.4.2 - 36.4.4.36.4.2 The material on which the markings are printed shall be spunbonded, high-density polyethylenesheeting, or the equivalent.36.4.3 The material shall be fastened to the out

40、er shell or lining of the PFD using a type 301 stitchconstructed in accordance with Federal Standard 751a, at7-12stitches per inch (25.4 mm).36.4.4 The stitching shall lie at least 1/16 inch (3.2 mm) from the outer edges of the material along theentire perimeter of the label, and there shall be no s

41、titching within the printed borders of the PFD label.Exception: The Use and Care Instructions are not required to be stitched around the entire perimeter ofthe label.36.5 Childrens information placard36.5.1 Each infant, child and youth device shall have the Important Information About Childrens PFDs

42、placard securely attached to the PFD. Each Childrens Information placard shall comply with therequirements of 36.5.2 - 36.5.7.36.5.2 The packaging of each device shall be such that the information on the front and back of theplacard is available to the consumer prior to purchase.36.5.3 When the plac
