2、ating misunderstandings between manufacturers and purchasers, facilitating interchangeability and improvement of products, and assisting the purchaser in selecting and obtaining with minimum delay the proper product for his particular need. Existence of such Standards and Publications shall not in a
3、ny respect preclude any member or nonmember of TWEIA from manufacturing or selling products not conforming to such Standards and Publications, nor shall the existence of such Standards and Publications preclude their voluntary use by those other than TIA/EIA members, whether the standard is to be us
4、ed either domestically or internationally. Standards and Publications are adopted by TIA/EIA in accordance with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) patent policy. By such action, MIA does not assume any liability to any patent owner, nor does it assume any obligation whatever to parties
5、 adopting the Standard or Publication. TINEIA INTERIM STANDARDS TIA/EIA Interim Standards contain information deemed to be of technical value to the industry, and are published at the request of the originating Committee without necessarily following the rigorous public review and resolution of comm
6、ents which is a procedural part of the development of a TIA/EIA Standard. TINEIA Interim Standards should be reviewed on an annual basis by the formulating Committee and a decision made on whether to proceed to develop a TIA/EIA Standard on this subject. TIA/EIA Interim Standards must be cancelled b
7、y the Committee and removed from the TWEIA Standards Catalog before the end of their third year of existence. Publication of this TIA/EIA Interim Standard for trial use and comment has been approved by the Telecommunications Industry Association. Distribution of this TIMEIA Interim Standard for comm
8、ent shall not continue beyond 36 months from the date of publication. It is expected that following this 36 month period, this TWEIA herim Standard, revised as necessary, will be submitted to the American National Standards Institute for approval as an American National Standard. Unless indicated otherwise, this document presents numbers in decimal form. Binary numbers are distinguished i
10、n the text by the use of single quotation marks. In some tables, binary values may appear without single quotation marks if table notation clearly specifies that values are binary. The character x is used to represent a binary bit of unspecified value. For example xxxO0010 represents any 8-bit binar
11、y value such that the least significant five bits equal 00010. Hexadecimal numbers (base 16) are distinguished in the text by use of the form Oxh. h where h.h represents a string of hexadecimal digits. For example, Ox2fal represents a number whose binary value is O0 101 1 1 1 101oooO1 and whose deci
12、mal value is 12193. Note that the exact number of bits in the binary representation of a hexadecimal number strictly depends on the implementation requirements for the variable being represented.
