5、ant nickel alloy in the form of sheet, strip and foil. 1. SCOPE 1.1 Form This specification covers a corrosion and heat-resistant nickel alloy in the form of sheet, strip, and foil. 1.2 Application These products have been used typically for parts requiring resistance to creep and stress-rupture up
6、to 1400 F (760 C) and oxidation resistance up to 1800 F (982 C), particularly those parts which are formed or welded and then precipitation heat treated to develop desired properties, but usage is not limited to such applications. 2. 17、 variations shall meet the applicable requirements of AMS2269. 3.2 Melting Practice Alloy shall be induction melted under vacuum and consumable electrode remelted. 3.3 Condition The product shall be supplied in the following condition: 3.3.1 Sheet, Strip, and Foil Cold rolled, solution heat treated,
18、 and, unless solution heat treatment is performed in an atmosphere yielding a bright finish, descaled having a surface appearance comparable to the following commercial corrosion resistant steel finishes as described in ASTM A 480/A 480M and AS4194 comparable to 3.3.1.1 or 3.3.1.2, as applicable, ex
19、cept that product 0.010 inch (0.25 mm) and under in nominal thickness shall have a surface appearance comparable to No. 2B finish. 3.3.1.1 Sheet No. 2D finish. 3.3.1.2 Strip No. 1 strip finish 3.4 Solution Heat Treatment 3.4.1 Product 0.050 Inch (1.27 mm) and Over in Thickness Heat to a temperature
20、set point within the range 1750 to 1825 F (954 to 996 C), and hold at the selected temperature set point within 25 F (14 C) for a time commensurate with product thickness, and cool at a rate equivalent to an air cool or faster. 21、27 mm) in Thickness No specific heat treating instructions are specified, but it is recommended that the product be solution heat treated by heating in a suitable protective atmosphere, preferably in hydrogen or argon (See 3.4.4) or in vacuum (10-4Torr or less), to a temperature set point within the
22、 range 1750 to 1825 F (954 to 996 C), and hold at the selected temperature set point within 25 F (14 C) for a time commensurate with product thickness, and cool at a rate equivalent to an air cool or faster. The use of dissociated ammonia as protective atmosphere is not recommended. 3.4.3 For produc
23、t 0.010 inch (0.25 mm) and under in nominal thickness, a dew point of -60 F (-50 C) or lower is preferable when using hydrogen or argon atmosphere. 3.5 Properties Product, 0.1874 inch (4.76 mm) and under in nominal thickness, shall conform to the following requirements. 3.5.1 As Solution Heat Treate
