It was issued by the Standards Council on November 11, 2016, with an effective date of December 1, 2016. This document has been
13、 amended by one or more Tentative Interim Amendments (TIAs) and/or Errata. See “Codes & Standards” at www.nfpa.org for more information. This edition of NFPA 1616 was approved as an American National Standard on December 1, 2016. Origin and Development of NFPA 1616 The Technical Committee on Mass Ev
14、acuation and Sheltering was given the responsibility for developing documents to establish a common set of criteria for the process of organizing, planning, implementing, and evaluating a program for mass evacuation, sheltering, and re-entry. In 2012, NFPA received two requests for standards develop
15、ment, one for evacuation and one for sheltering. The Technical Committee for Mass Evacuation and Sheltering was rst formed in September 2013 to fulll those requests. In August 2014, a draft was approved by the Standards Council so the Committee could receive input from the public. The 2017 edition o
