1、29 December 1972 SUPERSEDING MIL-T-82159(MC) 14 August 1967 MILITARY SPECIFICATION TEST SET GROUP, ELECTRONIC SYSTEMS: AN/TGM-1 This specification is approved for use by all Departments and Agencies of the Department of Defense. 1. SCOPE *1.1 This specification covers one type test set group, whicli

2、 shall consist of the necessary cables, harnesses and test fixtures to enable a technician to perform maintenance on the Converter-Multiplexer, CV-976/U, Telegraph Terminal Group, AN/TGA-1, Bandpass Filter, F-508/U, and various other components when removed from the Communications Central, AN/TSC-15

3、, and taken into support facilities such as the AN/GRM-32D Electronic Shop. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS *2.1 The following documents of the issue in effect on date of invitation for bids or request for proposal, form a part of the specification to the extent specified herein. 6、unctions should be obtained from the procuring activity or as directed by the contracting officer.) 3 , REQUIREMENTS *3,1 First article, Prior to the submission of any completed test set groups for acceptance, the contractor shall furnish a first article for determination of compliance to this speci

7、fication. Approval of the first article by the activity concerned shall not relieve the contractor of his obligation to supply equipment conforming to this specification, Any deviation or changes from the first article shall be subject to the written approval of the contracting officer. No additiona

8、l equipment shall be delivered prior to approval of the first article. The first article may be submitted as one of the production units, providing it has been re- furbished and all defects noted during the first article tests have been corrected, This unit shall be subjected to the acceptance inspe

9、ction. *3.2 Material and Parts, The material and parts for the, test set group shall be of the same quality, grade, type, characteristics, size, and weight as the material used in the Government furnished model (see 3.10). *3b3 Design. The test set group shall consist of an assembly of harnesses, ca

10、bles, and test fixtures as follows. components of the tese set group shall be housed in a fiberglass storage and carrying case, The design of the test set group shall permit certain components of the Communications Central, AN/TSC-15, to be removed for testing. The electrical design shall be identic

All parts shall be comp.letely interchangeable, both electrically and mechanically, with the corresponding parts used in the Government furnished model. *3.4 Construction

13、. The construction of the test set group shall be in accordance with Drawing No. 522-2999-012 and identical to the Government furnished model. In the event discrepancies exist between the Government furnished model and Drawing No. 522-2999-012, the contractor shall notify the contracting officer. *3

14、.5 Performance. The performance of the test set group shall be as specified in Drawing No. 522-2999-012. *3.6 Dimensions. Overall exterior dimensions of the test set group, including all protrusions, shall be as follows: Length 24 2112 inches Width 18 5112 inches Height 8 t1/2 inches *3.7 Weight. Th

15、e total weight of the test set group, with all items installed, shall not exceed 43 pounds. *3.8 Treatment and painting. Treatment and painting shall be the same as that of the Government furnished model and as specified in Drawing NO. 522-2999-012. 3c3.9 Identification marking. Identification plate

16、s shall conform to MIL-P-15024 and shall be the same as the plates on the Government model, except for data relative to a specific contract. *3.10 Government furnished model. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.21, the Government will furnish one test set group for use as a model. Within 20 days after

17、 receipt, the contractor shall conduct all necessary tests of the model to confirm its conformance to the requirements of Drawing No. 522-2999-012. Within 30 days after receipt of the model, the contractor shall notify the procuring activity, in writing, whether the model meets or exceeds these requ

18、irements and whether the first article and production units to be delivered will conform in every respect. Upon completion of contract, the Government furnished model shall be returned to the contracting officer in the same condition as received or replaced with a production unit. *3.11 Workmanship.

19、 Workmanship shall be in accordance with the best commercial practices used in manufacturing for this type of equipment. 3 Licensed by Information Handling ServicesMILIT- 82159A(MC 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS *4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purch

20、ase order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise Specified in the contract or order, the supplier may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection require- ments specified herein,

21、unless disapproved by the Government, The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements, *4.2 Classification of inspection. The inspection r

22、equirements specified herein are classified as follows: (a) First article (see 4,3). (b) Acceptance (see 4.41, *4.3 First article inspection. First article inspection shall be by the cognizant Government inspector. The first article shall be subjected to a visual inspection in accordance with MIL-E-

23、16400 and tests Specified in Drawing No. 522-2999-012, Approval of the first article shall be in writing from the contracting officer. *4.4 Acceptance inspection. Acceptance inspection shall be performed on each test set group in accordance with Drawing No. 522-2999-012. test set: groups shall be su

24、bject inspector. All acceptance by the cognizant Government *4,5 Rejected units, Any test set group which does not meet the requirements specified herein shall be rejected. Before resubmittal, ull particulars concerning the reason for rejection, and corrective action taken to prevent recurrence, sha

25、ll be made available to the Government inspector, 5 . PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY *Sel Preservation, packaging and packing. Preservation, packaging and packing shall be the level of shipment Specified in the contract or order in accordance with MIL-E-17555 (see 6.2). *5,2 Marking. Marking shall be in a

26、ccordance with MIL-STD-129, 6. NOTES 4 Licensed by Information Handling Services*6.1 Intended use. The test set group described herein is intended for use as a bench test device to facilitate maintenance of components of the Communications Central, AN/TSC-15. *6.2 Ordering data. Purchasers should ex

27、ercise any desired options offered herein, and procurement documents shall specify the following: *6.2.1 Procurement requirements (a) Title, number and date of this specification. (b) When the Government furnished model will not be provided (see 3.10). (c) Level of preservation, packaging and packin

28、g required (see 5.11 *6.2.2 Contract data requirements. Data conforming to Data Item Descriptions DI-E-4527, DI-R-4803, DI-R-4805, DI-R-4809, DI-T-4901, DI-T-4902, DI-T-4903, and DI-T-4904 will usually be required for delivery in conjunction with this specification. When so required, such data will

29、be specified for delivery on a DD Form 1423 included in the contract. *6.3 First article. The first article shall be examined and tested for approval at the contractors plant or at an independent commercial testing laboratory acceptable to the procuring activity. tests shall be witnessed by a Govern

30、ment representative of the procuring activity . First article *6.4 Marginal notations. The margins of this specification are marked with an asterisk to indicate where changes (additions, modifications, corrections, deletions) from the previous issue were made. This was done as a convenience only and

31、 the Government assumes no liability whatsoever for any inaccuracies in these notations. Bidders and contractors are cautioned to evaluate the requirements of this document based on the entire content irrespective of the marginal notations and relationship to the last previous issue.
