SCOPE 1.1 to convert an:ular data represented by three vire 400 cycle per second (cp
2、s) electricdl synchro sipals into 11 bit binary digital data and to convert 11 bit bincry digital data into three wire 406 cps synchro electrical signals. Scope - The equipment covered by this specification shall be designed 1. listed in 6.9. Classification - The Synchro Converter Set shall consist
3、of the items 2, APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS 2.1 General - The documents listed in 6.10 of the issue in effect on the dete of invitation for bids form a part of this specification to the extent specified herein. 3. Microelectronic Modular Assemblies - Nien used,Elicroelectronic Modular Microelectronic Modular Assemblies 3.3 applicable requirements of Specification MIL-E-5400 for design, construction and workmanship, except as otherwise specified herei
10、n. 3.3.1 Total Weight - The total weight of the equipment, excluding cables, shall be a minimum consistent with good design and shall not exceed 50 pounds. 13、quirements 3.3,2,3.1 Desipn idean Time Between Failures - The specified or design mean- time-between-failures (MTBF) shall meet or exceed 4,500 hours. The speciifed MTBF shall be substantiated by an analytical model of equipment reliability, The reliability model shall be prepared in accordance with
14、 the procedures established in MIL-STD-756 and MIL-HRBK-217, Failure rates and failure rate curves used shall be substantiated by minimum of 10 X 166 component hours for each component type or shall be taken from the appropriate curve in MIL- HDBK-217, The reliability calculations with the substanti
15、ating failure rate data shall be submitted with the contractors proposal to the government. 3.3.2.3.2 MTBF To Be Demonstrated By Test - For purposes of demonstrating MTBF by test, as opposed to analytical substantiation, 1500 hours shall be used as the specified MTBF when testing in accordance with

17、ualification of materials, components and processes shall be conducted prior to their use in deliverable equipment. Qualification records and test results shall be maintained and made available to the Government upon request, 3.3.2.5 Parts Specifications - The contractor shall control the procuremen
18、t of all parts and materials by detail contractor specifications. cations shall contain sufficient information and quality assurance requirements to preclude contractor acceptance of materials not in conformance with the equipment design and environmental requirements. The specifi- 3.3.3 Maintainabi
19、lity - To provide for increased system effectiveness, main- tainability shall receive equal consideration with such factors as cost, physical parameters, and reliability. The Maintenance Philosophy for avionics equipment procured for use in the A-NEW program is that of fault isolation to and repair
20、by replacement of individual modules at the organizational maintenance level without removing equipment from the operational environment in the air- craft. Where feasible, fault isolation shall be computer initiated utilizing a diagnostic program; where not feasible, equipments shall provide self te
21、st features or readily accessible test points to accommodate standard test equip- ment affording fault isolation to the individual replaceable module. It shall be possible in 95% of the cases to fault isolate, repair and Check-out the unit-within a maximum of 30 minutes at the organizational mainten

In addition, the capability for performance testing shall be built into each system, subsystem and equipment to provide preflight readiness indications and to check performance levels when an out-of-tolerance condition is suspected. 3.3.3.1 DEFINITIONS 3.3.3.1.2 herein noted.
