SCOPE 1.1 to convert an:ular data represented by three vire 400 cycle per second (cp

Scope - The equipment covered by this specification shall be designed 1. listed in 6.9. Classification - The Synchro Converter Set shall consist

    3、of the items 2, APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS 2.1 General - The documents listed in 6.10 of the issue in effect on the dete of invitation for bids form a part of this specification to the extent specified herein. 3. REqUIEMENTS - 3.1 testing. Preproduction - This specification makes provision for preproducti

    8、 be described by a contractor procurement specification and must be approved by the procuring agency, (Microelectronic Circuits) (MICS) shall be contained within Maintenance Modules, (for example, or printed circuit cards). The choice of Microelec- tronic Modular Assemblies shall be based on at leas

    9、t two sources of supply, which can be used interchangeably. Microelectronic Modular Assemblies - Nien used,Elicroelectronic Modular Microelectronic Modular Assemblies 3.3 applicable requirements of Specification MIL-E-5400 for design, construction and workmanship, except as otherwise specified herei

    10、n. 3.3.1 Total Weight - The total weight of the equipment, excluding cables, shall be a minimum consistent with good design and shall not exceed 50 pounds. Design and Construction - The equipment shall conform with all the 3.3.2 Reliability 3.p.2.1 Operational Stability - The .equipment shall operat

    13、quirements 3.3,2,3.1 Desipn idean Time Between Failures - The specified or design mean- time-between-failures (MTBF) shall meet or exceed 4,500 hours. The speciifed MTBF shall be substantiated by an analytical model of equipment reliability, The reliability model shall be prepared in accordance with

    14、 the procedures established in MIL-STD-756 and MIL-HRBK-217, Failure rates and failure rate curves used shall be substantiated by minimum of 10 X 166 component hours for each component type or shall be taken from the appropriate curve in MIL- HDBK-217, The reliability calculations with the substanti

    15、ating failure rate data shall be submitted with the contractors proposal to the government. 3.3.2.3.2 MTBF To Be Demonstrated By Test - For purposes of demonstrating MTBF by test, as opposed to analytical substantiation, 1500 hours shall be used as the specified MTBF when testing in accordance with

Q

    17、ualification of materials, components and processes shall be conducted prior to their use in deliverable equipment. Qualification records and test results shall be maintained and made available to the Government upon request, 3.3.2.5 Parts Specifications - The contractor shall control the procuremen

    18、t of all parts and materials by detail contractor specifications. cations shall contain sufficient information and quality assurance requirements to preclude contractor acceptance of materials not in conformance with the equipment design and environmental requirements. The specifi- 3.3.3 Maintainabi

    19、lity - To provide for increased system effectiveness, main- tainability shall receive equal consideration with such factors as cost, physical parameters, and reliability. The Maintenance Philosophy for avionics equipment procured for use in the A-NEW program is that of fault isolation to and repair

    20、by replacement of individual modules at the organizational maintenance level without removing equipment from the operational environment in the air- craft. Where feasible, fault isolation shall be computer initiated utilizing a diagnostic program; where not feasible, equipments shall provide self te

    21、st features or readily accessible test points to accommodate standard test equip- ment affording fault isolation to the individual replaceable module. It shall be possible in 95% of the cases to fault isolate, repair and Check-out the unit-within a maximum of 30 minutes at the organizational mainten

    22、ance level. In addition, the capability for performance testing shall be built into each system, subsystem and equipment to provide preflight readiness indications and to check performance levels when an out-of-tolerance condition is suspected. 3.3.3.1 DEFINITIONS 3.3.3.1.2 herein noted. Terms used

    23、in this specification are defined in MIL-STD-280 unless 3.3.3.1.3 Maintenance Levels - Maintenance levels shall be as defined in BUWEPS Instruction 4700.2a. 3.3.3.1.4 Module - The least complex segment of a component (Unit, Black Box) that can be removed and reinserted into the component through the

    27、Mode of Operation - The operation of the performance/readiness 3.3.3.2.2 Maintainability Requirements 3.3.2.2.1 Operational Maintainability Requirements - The time to repair shall be such that it will be possible in 95% of all the cases offailures, to per- form corrective organizational maintenance

    28、actions within 30 minutes. As here applied on organizational corrective action includes the following: (1) Recognition of a fault (2) Isolation of.the fault to a module (3) Module replacement (4) Check out of the equipment 3.3.3.2.2.2 Packaging Requirements - The equipment shall be packaged in modul

    29、ar form so that, to the maximum extent practical, all sub-assemblies shall be of the plug in type and should be easily removable without special tools, for maintenance, If a special tool is required for removal, it shall be pro- vided and attached to. the equipment. 3.3.3.2.2.3 Module Commonality -

    30、The number of different modules will be keptAo an absolute minimum. testing and spares requirements at all levels of maintenance, This standardization is mandatory to ease the 3.3.3.2.2.4 Module Accessibility - Module arrangement, will be such that access to each module does not require the removal

    31、of adjacent modules or parts other than access panels. 3.3.3.2.2.5 Keying - Modules and connectors shall be keyed to prevent the insertion of a connector or module into an improper location within or on the equipment, 3.3.3.2.2.6 Part Replacement - Part replacement on the analog modules shall be pos

    32、sible by skilled technicians working in a designated service area such as intermediate maintenance activity. Use of potting compounds, excessive moisture/fungus proofing compounds or any other substance to mechanically support piece parts is forbidden. Moisture/fungus proofing compounds, not in exce

    33、ss of a 2 mil thickness is permitted. 3.3.3.2.2.7 Non-repairable assemblies - All designs for non-repairable assemblies shall be submitted to the Government, for approval, prior to release for fabricagion. -4- Provided by IHSNot for ResaleNo reproduction or networking permitted without license from

    34、IHS-,-,-MIL-S-81344 (WP) 3.3.3.2.2.8 Adiustments - In ordrr to decrease the complexity of the main- tenance tasks the equipment should be designed to require no periodic adjust- ments, alignment or calibration. Adjustments shall be capable of being made in the aircraft using simple hand tools and/or

    35、 General and Standard Test Equipment. Adjustments shall be identified and accessible without a require- ment to remove or relocate the module, any other modular or part. 3.3.3.2.2.9 Access - It shall be possible to perform 90% of the anticipated maintenance actions by access to one side of the equip

    36、ment only. 3.3.3.2.2.10 Access Panels - Access panels shall be retained by quick dis- connect fastners i.e. hand operated slide, dzus type etc. 3.3.3.2.2.11 Air Filters - Devices requiring removal periodically for inspect- ion and/or servicing shall be retained by quick disconnect fastners i.e. hand

    37、 operated slide, dzus type etc, 3.3.3.2.212 Eounting Devices - Connectors, receptacles, fuses, circuit breakers or any other electronic part, shall not be a part of any mounting device associated with the equipment. 3.3.3.2.2.13 Aircraft Connectors - Aircraft cables shall mount directly to the equip

    38、ment, using quick disconnect type connectors. 3.3.3.2.2.14 Aircraft Accessibility - Form factor and location of connectors, air filters, circuit breakers, access panels, and modules shall be such that when the equipment is installed in the aircraft, all in-aircraft maintenance acttons may be perform

    39、ed with the equipment in its installed position. 3.3.3.2.2.15 Protective Devices - Circuit breakers shall be used in lieu of fuses whenever possible. Fuses, if used, sliall be of types and ratings readily available from Navy Supply. Fuse holders and/or circuit breakers shall be accessible from the e

    40、xterior of the equipment, plainly marked as to rating and size, and shall be of the fault indicating type and/or have access for quick voltage checks. 3.3.3.2.2.16 Handles - Handles shall be provided as part of the equipment. They shall be located to give optimum handling capability by one man. ! 3.

    41、3.3.2.3 Fault Isolation/Manual Preparation 3.3.3.2.3.1 Fault Isolation - In conjunction with, but not necessarily as part of the Performance/Readiness testing features, there shall be features incorporated which will permit fault isolation to the module level. These features shall include the necess

    44、ctioning modules throu;h diagnostic programming in conjunction with the aircrafts computer and/or other installed electronic equipment. made available at the front of the equipment to assist diagnosis of malfunct- ions. Test points shall be 3.3.3.2.3.2 Diagnostic and Maintenance Koutines - The contr

    45、actor shall assume responsibility for preparation and delivery of the diagnostic routines, and a program listing including the description of use for each as well as pre- paration and delivery of the associated maintenance manual. 3.3.3.2.3.3 Manual Preparation - The equipment maintenance manual to

    46、be used in the performance of the testing will be written to a comprehensive ability level as described in paragraph 3.7.6 of Naval Weapon Specification, WS 3099. (1) (2) Civilian Education - High School graduate or equivalent. Technical Training - Navy, Class A technician school and training course

    47、s appropriate to the maintenance task. Experience - ho years of technician experience in addition to technician tr %riing.
