2、le-sideband comuni- cations, in the high f reqyency 2 to 30 MHz band. It shall provide for two+May simplex communications for voice, teletype, and Link 11 tactical data. The Radio Set RF Amplifier output shall be selectable 400 qtts and loo0 watts average adpeak envelope power. 1.2 Classification -

The radio set shall provide either single sideband suppressed carrier (VO) and single sidebxmd with reinserted carrier (AME) aapabilities for voice transmission using upper sideband and voice processing techniques. Reception shall be pro- vided by single si
21、deband suppressed carrier techniques in the VO mode and by nomal AM techniques in the AME mode. Audio frequency shift keying (AFSK) and tactic81 data (tog. Link ll), and transmisaion and recaption capabilities shall be provided ueing single sideband suppressed carriar techniques in the upper sideban
22、d mode (DATA), in the lower sideband mode (ISB), or both sidebands (Dm )* The radio set shall provide necessary control signals for the cLT-2070/ARC Antenna Coupler or equivolait. 3d1.2 Channel Selection - All channels of the Radio Set shall be available without the necessity of changing any compone
23、nts or manually adjusting any circuits. When a channel has been selected, both the receiver and trans- mitter circuits shU saust automatically for operation on the selected frequency. 3.b.2.1 Channel Selection Time - The time from the instant my channel or frequency is seleekd to the time that the s
24、et is operative for either transmission or reception shall not exceed one (1) Second under standard conditons or two (2) seoonds under service conditions.
