9、When the requirements of the contract, this specification, or applicable subsidiary specifications are in conflict,. the following precedence shall apply: (i) Contract: The Contract or purchase order. shall have precedence over any specifi- cation. - (2) This Specification: This specification shall
10、have precedence over all applicable subsidiary specifications. Any deviatians from this specification, or from sub- sidiary specifications, where applicable, shall be specifically approved in writing by procuring activity. (3) Referenced Specifications : Any referenced specifications shall have prec
11、edence over all applicable subsidiary specifications referenced therein. All referenced specifications, where applicable, shall apply to the extent specified. REQUIREMENTS Preproduction - This specification makes provision for preproduction testing. Parts and Materials - In the selection of parts an
12、d materials, fulfillment of major design objectives shall be the primary consideration. the following shall govern: In so doing, (1) Microelectric items shall conform to requirements specified herein. (2) Other parts and materials requirements shall conform to MIL-E-5400. . (3) Nonrepairable subasse

Nonstandard Parts and Materials Approval - Approval for the use of nonstandard parts and materials including transistors and diodes shall be obtained as outlined in MIL-E-5400. - Desiqn and Construction - The ID1 shall conform with al
16、l the applicable requirements of Specification MIL-E-5400 except as otherwise specified herein. . Total Weiqht - The total weight of the IDI, exclud- iria cables, shall be a minimum consistent with god design and shall not exceed 6.3 pounds. Form Factor - The ID1 outline and overall dimensions shall
17、 conform to those specified in Figure 1. Cabling and Connectors - The ID1 shall provide for the use of cables and connectors in accordance with MIL-E-5400. The ID1 shall be capable of satis- factory operation using external wiring in accordance with the applicable requirements of MIL-W-5088. The ext
18、ernal wiring shall be unshielded, except that a minimum number of the individual wires may be shielded when demonstrated as necessary to meet interference control requirements and provided the assembly of the cable to its plugs may be easily accomplished. External cables and that portion of the conn
19、ectors attached to the cables shall not be supplied as part of the equipment. . identification - a.
