SCOPE 1.1 Scope. This specification c
2、overs the requirements for a high temperature resistant aromatic polyamide jersey knitted cloth used in aeronautical clothing. 2. In the event of a conflict between the text of this specification and the references cited herein (except for associated detail specifications, specific
10、ation sheets or MS standards), the text of this specification shall take precedence. Nothing in this specification, however, shall supersede applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Standard sample. The finished cloth shall match the standard
11、 sample for shade and shall be equal to or better than the standard sample with respect to all characteristics for which the standard sample is referenced (see 6.3). 3.2 Materials. 3.2.1 Synthetic yarn. The cloth shall be knit from a high strength, non-melting, aromatic polyamide staple yarn. a temp
12、erature less than 357C (675F) when tested as specified in 4.4. The yarn shall not carbonize at 3.3 Construction. The knit shall be jersey construction made on a 24 gauge simplex machine, with a front bar of 4-513-211-0/2-3 and a back bar of 1 -0/1-2/3-4/3-2. 2 Provided by IHSNot for ResaleNo reprodu

The color shall be obtained by the use of melt solution dyed fibers. * 3.5.1 Matching. The color and appearance of the dyed cloth shall match the standard sample when viewed under fil
16、tered tungsten lamps which approximate artificial daylight having a correlated color temperature of 7500 - + 200K, with illumination of 100 2 20 foot candles, and shall be a good match to the sample under incandescent lamplight at 2300 200K. 3.5.2 Colorfastness. The dyed cloth shall show colorfastne
17、ss to light and laundering equal to or better than the standard sample when tested as specified in Table V. When no standard sample is available, the dyed cloth shall show good colorfastness to light and laundering when tested as specified in Table V. 3.6 Width. The minimum acceptable width of the f
18、inished cloth shall be as speci f i ed. 3.7 Length and put-up. 20、the acceptable quality levels. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 3.9 Workmanship. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. 22、overnment reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth .in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. 23、tions 3 and 5. The inspection set forth in this specification shall become a part of the contractors overall inspection system or quality program. The absence of any inspection requirements in the specification shall not relieve the contractor of the responsibility of assuring that all products or s
