1、MILITARY SPECIFICATION CONTROL, AIRCRAFT WEAPONS RELEASE SET C-668 2 (*)/AWE- 1 This specification has been approved by the Naval Air Systems Command, Department of the Navy. 1, SCOPE 1.1 Scow - The equipment covered by this specification shall enable the pilot to select the quantity of stores to be
2、 dropped, mode of release, and drop interval be- tween release of individual stores. 1.2 Classification - Aircraft weapons release set control C-6682(*)/AWE-1 shall consist of the item listed in 6.9, 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS 2.1 General - The documents listed in 6.11 of the issue in effect on the dat
3、e of invitation for bids form a part of this specification to the extent specified herein. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 testing. . Preproduction - This specification makes provision far preproduction 3.2 Parts and Materials - in the selection of parts and materials, fulfillment ofpajor design objectives s.ha
4、ll be the prime consideration. in so doing the following shall govern: (1) Microelectronic items shall conform to requirements specified herein, (2) Other parts and materials requirements shall conform to Specifica- tion MIL-E-5400. I (3) Nonrepairable subassemblies as outlined in Specification MIL-
5、E- 5400, shall be used when practicable, The general size of the sub- assembly and the amount of circuitry to be included therein shall be approved by the procuring activity. 6、d without license from IHS-,-,-MIL-C-1360 12 777770b 0357150 T W (4) When previously produced models of this equipment did not use norwepairable subassemblies, the design shall not be changed to employ nonrepairabla assemblies without the approval of the pro- curing activity. 3.2.1 Nonstandard Parts
7、 and Materials Approval - Approval for the use of -nonstandard parts and materials (including transistors and diodes) shall be obtained as outlined in Specification MIL-E-5400. 3.3 Design and Construction - The equipment shall conform with all the applicable requirements of Specification MIL-E-5400
8、for design, construction and workma ship, except as otherwise specified herein. 3.3.1 Total Weight - The total weight of the equipment, excluding cables, shall be a minimum coneistent with good design and shall not exceed 22 ounces. 3.3.2 Reliability - 3.3.2.1 Operational Stability - The equipment s
9、hall operate with satisfactory performance, continuously or intermittently for a period of at least 1,000 hours without the necessity for readjustment of any controls which are inaccessibie to the operator during normal use. 3.3.2.2 Operating Life - The equipment shall have total operating life of 1
10、0,000 hours with reasonable servicing and replacement of parts. Parts requiring scheduled re- placement shall be specified by the contractor. a 3.3.2.3 Reliability in Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) - The equipment shall havq,OOO hours of mean foperating) time between failures when tested and accep
11、ted as outlined under the requirements of 4.4.3. 3.3.3 Cabling and Connections - 3.3.3.1 Cables and Connectors - The equipment shall provide for the use of cables and connectors in accordance with Specification MIL-E-5400. 3.3.4 Control Panels - All rack or console mounted control panels shall con-
12、form tp the applicable requirements of Specification MIL-C-6781. The configuration of all control panels muet be approved by the procuring activity prior to preproduction testing. 3.3.5 Interchangeability of Reordered Equipment - For reordered equipment interchangeability shall exia t between mita a
13、nd all replaceable assembues, subassemblies, and parts of a designated model of any previously manufactured equipment, supplied or designated by the procuring activity. 3.3.6 niterference Control - The generation of radio interference by the equip- ment and the vulnerability of the equipment to radi

15、 maintenance shall be as specified in Specification MIL-E-5400. Specific test pointa and test facilities shall be provided to the greatest extent practicable for ease of field testing and maintenance. 3.3.8 Nomenclature and Nameplates - Nomenclature assignment and nameplate approval for equipment id
16、entification shall be in accordance with Specification MIL-N-18307. 3.3.9 normal performance characteriitics under standard conditions and for making laboratory bench tests. Standard Conditions - The following conditions shall be used to establish Temperature Room ambient (25 3.4.1 Operation - The c
17、ontrol is a manually operated unit from which the pilot makes all his selections as to pertinent drop information. 3.4.2 Types of Release - The types of release which can be selected by the unit are divided into two basic catagories as follows: 3.4.2.1 Ripple - in any ripple type of release, stores
18、release will automatically continue at a selected drop interval as described in 3.4.4, until the pilot has released the desired quantity of stores selected as described in 3.4.5. 3.4.2.2 step - in any step type of release, stores release will occur at a rate determined by a pilot. This rate will be
19、one release pulse generated for each pilot depres- sion of the weapon release button. 3.4.3 Modes - The modes of release are as follows: 3.4.3.1 3.4.3.2 Singles - One store will be released for each output pulse. Pairs - Two stores will be released for each output pulse. 3.4.3.3 Salvo - The number o
20、f stores released for each output pulse will be equal to the number of loaded store8 stations selected. 3.4.4 Rate of Zelease - The interval between successive release output pulses in any ripple mode shall be pilot controlled and continuously variable between 20 and 2000 milliseconds. The output pu
21、lse interval shall be within Ir5 percent of the control setting for standard conditions and L 10 percent for extreme conditions. 3.4.4.1 Pulse Width - The duty cycle of the output pulses shall be 50 percent of the output pulse interval described in 3.4.4 with accuracies as follows: Pulse interval Ac

The pilot, when desiring a dro
24、p of any amount of stores, shall be able to select the exact amount of from 2 to 40 output pulses to be generated in amounts limited to the following steps: (1) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 (steps of one) (2) 8, 12, 16, 20 (steps of four) (3) 30, 40 (steps of ten) 3.5 Detailed Requirements - 3.5.1 Control, Airc
