Standard samples, when furnished, are solely for quid- ance and information to the contractor (see 6.3

4、). Variation from this specifi- cation may appear in the sample, in which case this specification shall govern. 3.2 First article. When specified (see 6.2), contractor shall furnish sample caps for first article inspection and approval. 3.3 Materials 3.3.1 Basic material. Ihe basic material for each

5、 class of caps shall be as follows: (a) Class 1. Cloth, plyester/mol gabardine, 10.6 ounce, gren shde (b) Class 2. Cloth, mol gabardine, 14.5 ounce, qreen shade 2210 con- 2212 confonniw to type II, class 12 of MIM-10176 (see 6.3). forming to type I, class 5 0f-MIL-C-10176 (see 6.3). I) 3 Provided by

The material for the sweatband shall be cloth, twill, cot

7、- ton, 5.7 to 6.3 ounces, conforming to MIM-29118, except the calor shall be green shade 2224. 3.3.4 Thread All outside seaming and stitching shall be perfoned With silk thread, mnforming to type I of V-T-301 and other seaming and stitching with cotton thread conforming to type I of V-T-276. As an a

8、lternate to the Cotton thread, a polyester, cUtton-mered thread conforming to MIL*-43548, ticket No. 50, 3 ply or ticket No. 70, 2 ply may be used. Each cap shall be placed in an individual polyethylene bag measuring appmxmately 6 inches wide by 15 inches l

16、ong with a 1-inch lip at the open end along the 6-inch dhnsion. Te polyethylene flexible film shall be 0,00125 inch thickness (+ - 25 percent tolerance). Each bag shall contain a label (see 5.3.1). - 5.1.2 oamercial. Caps shall be packaged to afford adequate protection against physical danage during

17、 shipnent from the contractor to the first receiv- ing activity. The package anSI the quantity per package shall be the same as that nonnaly used by the antractor for retail distribution. 5,2 Packirq. 18、One hundred twenty five (1 25) caps of one size only, pack- aged as specified in 5.1 , shall be packed in a fiberboard shipping container, confonnirg to veather-resistant class, size No.2A of MfbB-17757, asserrhle3, closed and reinformced as specified in the Appendix thereto. Folyethylene bagged packages shall have the following intormation leqibly printed or stanpd in black directly on the bag across the center face or on a white paper label inserted

26、within the bag so as to permit ready identification. “he bag or label shall indicate the following in- formation, 5.3.2 Mhed sizes. Each chiping container packed with mixed sizes shall have a 5 X 4 inch white paper label securely attached to the end and side directly under the printing or stenciling

Pallet pattern shall be in accordance with the amndix of MIIr!Xb147. Ihe pallet shall be 4-way, Type I, Class 1 , Style 1, Size A, Wx Gr

29、oup I, If, III or IV of MGP.15011, or 4-WaV, Type IV, V or VIII, Class 1, Style A, Size 2, Wxd Group I, II, TI1 or IV, Grade A of NN-P-71. Interlocking of lo&s shall be effected by reversing the pattern of each course. If the container is of a size which &es not conform to any of the patterns specif
