Abstract. This

2、Commercial Item Description (CID) covers one type and size of wooden chest with a removable tray. Salient characteristics. Desiqn. The chest shall consist of a body, lid and removable tray, and shall be equipped with handles and metal hardware. The chest shall also be equipped with a hasp, a staple

3、plate, and suitable corner protection. The finished dimensions of the chest should be 11 inches high by 17.5 inches wide by 34 inches long. The finished dimensions of the tray should be 2 inches high by 15.9 inches wide by 14 inches long. Construction. The construction of the chest and its component

4、 parts shall be of suitable material which will support and permit a - load of approximately 150 pounds of tools to be handcarried. material shall be corrosion and weather resistant. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract. Recovered materials. The manufacturer

9、 shall utilize recovered material to the maximum extent practicable. Preservation, packasins, p ackins,and markinq. The tool chest shall be preserved, packaged, and packed to a degree of protection to preclude damage to containers and/or the contents thereof under normal shipping conditions, handlin

10、g, etc., involving shipment from the supply source to the receiving activity, and shall conform to the applicable carriers rules and regulations. Intermediate and exterior package quantities and labeling and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order.
