7、U-T List of Recommendations. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD 10746-1 ITU-T RECOMMENDATION X.901 INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY - OPEN DISTRIBUTED PROCESSING - REFERENCE MODEL: OVERVIEW Summary . This Recommendation I Intemational Standard is an integral part of the ODP Reference Model. It contains a motivational ove
8、rview of Open Distributed Processing (ODP), giving scoping, justification and explanation of key concepts, and an outline of the ODP architecture. It contains explanatory material on how this Reference Model is to be interpreted and applied by its users, who may include standards writers and archite
9、cts of ODP systems. It also contains a categorization of required areas of standardization expressed in terms of the reference points for conformance identified in ITU-T Rec. X.903 I ISO/IEC 10746-3. Source The ITU-T Recommendation X.901 was approved on the 9th of August 1997. The identical text is

X.901 (1997 E) 1 FOREWORD ITU (International Telecommunication Union) is the United Nations Specialized Agency in the field of telecommuni- cations. The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (IT-T) is a permanent organ of t
11、he ITU. The ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Conference (WTSC), which meets every four years, establishes t
12、he topics for study by the ITU-T Study Groups which, in their turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of Recommendations by the Members of the ITU-T is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSC Resolution No. 1. In some areas of information technology which fall within ITU-Ts pu
13、rview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with IS0 and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Administration” is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunication administration and a recognized operating agency. 14、s attention to the possibility that the practice or implementation of this Recommendation may involve the use of a claimed Intellectual Property Right. The ITU takes no position concerning the evidence, validity or applicability of claimed Intellectual Property Rights, whether asserted by ITU member

As of the date of approval of this Recommendation, the ITU had not received notice of intellectual property, protected by patents, which may be required to implement this Recommendation.
