7、ndment 1 Summary Recommendation ITU-T G.9964 specifies the control parameters that determine spectral content, power spectral density (PSD) mask requirements, a set of tools to support reduction of the transmit PSD, means to measure this PSD for transmission over telephone wiring, power line wiring
8、and coaxial cable, as well as the allowable total transmit power into a specified termination impedance. It complements the system architecture and physical layer (PHY) specification in Recommendation ITU-T G.9960, and the data link layer (DLL) specification in Recommendation ITU-T G.9961, as well a
9、s the modifications and additions to these Recommendations specifying the multiple input/multiple output (MIMO) home networking transceiver in Recommendation ITU-T G.9963. Amendment 1 to Recommendation ITU-T G.9964 (2011) adds support for a new profile for 200 MHz baseband coax. History Edition Reco

ITU-T G.9964 (2011)/Amd.1 (02/2016) FOREWORD The International Telecommunication Union (ITU) is the United Nations specialized agency in the field of telecommunications, information and communication technologies (ICTs). The IT
12、U Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of ITU. ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendations on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardiz
13、ation Assembly (WTSA), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T study groups which, in turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approval of ITU-T Recommendations is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSA Resolution 1. In some areas of information tech
14、nology which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with ISO and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Administration“ is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunication administration and a recognized operating agency. Complia
15、nce with this Recommendation is voluntary. However, the Recommendation may contain certain mandatory provisions (to ensure, e.g., interoperability or applicability) and compliance with the Recommendation is achieved when all of these mandatory provisions are met. The words “shall“ or some other obli
16、gatory language such as “must“ and the negative equivalents are used to express requirements. The use of such words does not suggest that compliance with the Recommendation is required of any party.
