This standard has also been published as an integral part of Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) Publication 22-1. The application of this standard to data processing system an

3、d telecornunication system is mandatory on all Federal agencies. 1. %. Data Terminal Equipment (DTE) and Data Circuit-Terminating Equipment (DCE) utilizing nominal 4kHz circuits . 1.1 Purpose. Federal telecouanmication standards are to facilitate interoperability between telecommunication facilities

4、 and systems aud compatibility of these system at the computer- communications interface with data processing equipment. This standard specifies the standard signaling rates up to 9600 bitls between 1.2 Application. or design specifications describing functional, mechanical and procedural characteri
