3、as authorized the use of this commercial item description in preference to Federal Specification -P-63. This Commercial Item Description covers blotting paper for use in desk blotters. CLASSIFICATION Blotting paper covered by this specification shall be of the following sizes and colors. Size A - 48

4、3 mm X 610 mm (19 X 24 inches). Size B - 610 mm X 925 mm (24 X 38 inches). 1. A. B. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS Paper: The blotting paper shall be made from fibrous, cellulosic material with a basis weight of 308 g/m2 (100 lbs. 19 X 24-500) +/- 5%, when tested in accordance with TAPPI test method T410.

5、The blotting paper shall have an average bursting strength of 170 kPa (25 psi), minimum, when tested in accordance with TAPPI test method T403. The blotting paper shall have a plain finish. Construction: The Blotting paper sheets shall be 483 mm X 610 mm (19 X 24 inches) or 610 mm X 925 mm (24 X 38

6、inches), as specified in the contract or order. A tolerance of -0, + 3.17 mm (-0, + 1/8 inch) is permitted on each dimension. 7、 brown, moss green, or light green, as specified. Workmanship: shall be clean and free from lint, dust, spots, scorches, folds, wrinkles, holes and any other defects which may affect the serviceability, durability, or appearance. Sheets shall be flat trimmed square on all sides, with clean and smoot

8、h edges. The blotting paper shall be uniform in color and 2. REGULATORY REOUIREMENTS: The contractor shall certify that the minimum content standard shall be no less than-50% percent recovered materials, including 20% post consumer materials in accordance with Executive Order 12873, section 504 (b),

9、 dated October 20, 1993 (See definitions of post consumer materials and recovered materials in sections 203 and 205). As an alternative to meeting the standards of section 504(a) for all printing and writing papers, the minimum content standard shall be no less than 50% recovered materials that are

10、a waste material byproduct of a finished product other than a paper or textile product which would otherwise be disposed of in a landfill, as determined by the State in which the facility is located, in accordance with Executive Order 12873, section 504 (c), dated October 20, 1993. 11、serves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract. 3. Table 1.
