T255 Program). It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by GMW14117 & GMW14444. 1. PURPOSE This speci

3、fication determines test methods and requirements of instrument panel.(hereafter I/P) 2. SCOPE This standard is applied to test of instrument panel used for GMDAT-manufactured vehicle (passenger car, multipurpose car, truck and bus, etc.) 3. TYPE Table 1. I/P Type Type Division Description Type 1 Fu

4、ll pad Foaming and skin material covered on plastics or steel core. Type 2 Padless (organic-coated) Organic coated plastics, without foaming and skin material Type 3 Padless Only plastics, without foaming and skin material 4. APPROVAL The instrument panel released to this specification shall be the

5、same as the approved products. If any changes happen to the approved specimen, GMDAT Technical centers approval is needed. But, test samples for DVP(Design Verification Plan) can be discussed separately. 5. REQUIREMENT 5.1. General requirement Unless otherwise specified in drawings or material speci

6、fications, released parts shall be used without any precondition. But, type 2 shall be tested 72 hrs after coating and drying. 5.2. Detailed requirement By conducting the tests to the clause 6, the detailed requirements in the Table 2, 3 shall be satisfied. Table 2. Detail requirement (Type 2) Requi

11、 color change - 5.3. Additional requirement Additional requirement other than clause 5 shall be specified in related drawings. 6. TEST METHODS 6.1. General requirement 6.1.1. Standard conditions of lab. Standard temperature and humidity shall be 232, 505%. But, the lab is not in standard conditions,

12、 record the test temperature and humidity. 6.1.2. Pretreatment Test samples shall be stored minimum 72 hrs since their production, and proper pretreatment shall be done according to the detailed test method. 6.1.3. Sample quantity According to test methods, completed products or a part of the produc

13、ts shall be used for a test sample. Minimum 3 pieces are needed for approval test and minimum 1 piece each for quality examination and incoming inspection. 6.2. Temperature resistance 6.2.1. Test apparatus (1) Forced air circulation oven which can keep required temperature at 2.5 K. EDS-T-7041THE TE

(3) Hot chamber unit(infrared radiation irradiated chamber) which temperature is controllable from a room tempe

15、rature up to 150. 6.2.2. Test shall be conducted on completed products and test conditions are as follows: (1) Type 1 of I/P After placing I/P in the infrared rays test chamber at 120 of surface temperature and 90 of atmosphere temperature for 4 hrs, cool it to the room temperature and repeat this p

16、rocess three times. Conduct the following test : 4095% RH24 hrs -4024 hrs 9024 hrs. (2) Type 2, 3 of I/P After placing I/P in the infrared rays test chamber at 115 of surface temperature and 85 of atmosphere temperature for 4 hrs, cool it to the room temperature and repeat this process three times.

17、Conduct the following test : 4095% RH24 hrs -4024 hrs 9024 hrs. 6.2.3. Determinations Unless otherwise specified in drawings, the detailed requirements of the Table 2, 3 in clause 5.2 shall be followed. 6.3. Heat aging resistance 6.3.1. Test apparatus Forced air circulation oven which can keep requi

18、red temperature at 2.5 K. 6.3.2. For a test sample, more than three samples of min. 300 mm 300 mm which are taken from a completed product shall be used. The test sample shall be heat aged in the oven at 110 for 500 hrs, cooled to the room temperature, and visually checked. 6.3.3. Determinations Unl

19、ess otherwise specified in drawings, the detailed requirements of the Table 2, 3 in clause 5.2 shall be followed. 6.4. Light resistance 6.4.1. Test apparatus : Light exposure equipment(xenon-arc type) described in 5.1 of EDS-T-7415. 6.4.2. More than three samples of min. 50 150 mm which are taken fr

20、om a flat part of a completed product shall be tested under the below conditions : (1) Black panel temperature : 80 (2) Strength : 0.55 W/m2(3) Lamp power consumption : 6,000 W (4) Test time : 1240.8 KJ/m26.4.3. Determinations Unless otherwise specified, the detailed requirements of Table 2, 3 in cl

21、ause 5.2 shall be followed. 6.5. More than three samples of min. 50 100 mm which are taken from a completed product shall be

22、tested under the below conditions : (1) Using a solution-soaked gauze, rub the sample lightly three times and expose the sample for 24 hrs. Remove the solution and check the surface. (2) Test solution : grease, engine oil, antifreeze liquid, 3% sulfuric acid, liquid soap, leather wax. 6.5.2. Determi

23、nations Unless otherwise specified, the detailed requirements of Table 2, 3 in clause 5.2 shall be followed. 6.6. Vibration characteristic test The test shall be mainly for DVP test. For PVP test, it shall be discussed with the design department. 6.6.1. Test apparatus (1) Vibration tester (2) Hot/Co

24、ld chamber 6.6.2. Test method (1) Mount a test sample and vibration test-related components(cluster, steering column, ashtray, HVAC system etc.) on the jig(or cut body) and conduct the test. (2) The jig shall have enough rigidity not to generate its own resonance. (3) Vibration method and temperatur

(2) At 550 Hz, there shall be no noise. 6.7. Vibration durability test The test shall be mainly for DVP test. For

(2) The jig shall have enough rigidity to generate its own resonance. Also, when accelerating at 15 Hz, 1 G(9.8 m/s2), the vibrator acceleration

29、shall be within 10.1 G(9.80.98 m/s2). (3) Vibration method and temperature conditions 1 cycle consists of the following vibration. Changing the acceleration from the lower to the higher, a total of 12 cycles shall be performed, which are 6 cycles at the room temperature, 3 cycles at the hot temperat

30、ure(602) and 3 cycles at the cold temperature(-202). (1) Resonance frequency : to be measured with a accelerometer (2) Test samples shall hot show no shakes, cracks, breaks,

32、 detachment, abrasion, looseness, shape change, and noise. : to be checked visually and using a scale. 7. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT 7.1. The test for a glove box equipped to a instrument panel shall conform to EDS-T-4101. 7.2. The test for a ashtray equipped to a instrument panel shall conform to EDS-T

33、-4102. 7.3. The test for a cup holder equipped to a instrument panel shall conform to EDS-T-4103. 7.4. The test for a ventilation grill equipped to a instrument panel shall conform to EDS-T-4605. 7.5. Other test requirements and test methods for other parts are specified in related drawings. 8. DEVIATIONS Deviations from the above standards or other additional requirements shall be specified in drawings and test certificates or reports.
