This test standard aims at specifying the requirements, test conditions and test methods for the wiper motor as a component of the wiper systems in th

5、uation 3.1 Resources. 3.1.1 Calibration. The test facilities and equipment shall be in good working order and shall have a valid calibration label. 3.1.2 Alternatives. Alternative test facilities and equipment may also be used. However, all measuring variables as specified in this standard shall be

6、determined correctly with respect to their physical definition. 3.1.3 Equipment. Measuring devices and gauges required for measuring. 12、uipment. 3.1.3.11 Salt Spray Test Equipment. 3.1.4 Test Piece. For initial sample approval and release according to this standard, at least 23 test samples (wiper motors) for each design type shall be supplied. The design type characterizes wiper motors and gears having the same functions and the sa

13、me structure: fasteners, parking position and suppressing may be various. The test samples shall be regularly numbered and supplied with a test certificate. The test certificate shall include the initial values of the supplied test samples and the complete test result of the concerned samples conduc

14、ted by the supplier. It is assumed that the test samples submitted will show all values of the specified characteristics likely to be found in production. If this is not the case, the suppliers test certificate shall state the tolerance range required for all the characteristics concerned, in additi

15、on to the individual values. The delivery of the additional test samples and of parts of the same rank with the test samples can also be agreed upon. 3.2 Conditions. 3.2.1 Test Conditions. Deviations from the requirements of this standard shall have been agreed upon. Such requirements shall be speci

16、fied on component drawings, test certificates, reports, etc 3.3 Safety. This standard may involve hazardous materials, operations, and equipment. 20、 Version : 5 It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to establish appropriate safety and health practices and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use. 3.4 Documentation. Samples of components or material released to this standard shall be tested for conformit

21、y with the requirements of this standard and approved by the responsible GM Department prior to the start of delivery of production level components or materials. Any change to the component or material, e.g., design, function, properties, manufacturing process and/or location of manufacture require

22、s a new release of the product. It is the sole responsibility of the supplier to provide the customer, unsolicited, with documentation of any change or modification to the product/process, and to apply for a new release. If not otherwise agreed to, the entire verification test shall be repeated and

23、documented by the supplier prior to start of delivery of the modified or changed product. In some cases, a shorter test can be agreed to between the responsible GM Department and the supplier. 4 Requirements and Procedure 4.1 General Requirements. 4.1.1 Test of the wiper motor shall be performed to

24、EDS-T-5226, and test of the wiper system and washer system to EDS-T-5244. Tests related to domestic and foreign certification and legal requirements shall conform to EDS-T-5244. 4.1.2 Unless specified otherwise, the test shall be performed at 233 E . The test sequence and number of test samples for

25、each test are specified in paragraph 4.16 of this test standard. All test samples shall meet the specified indication values and requirements. In test, the driving shaft of the wiper motor shall be so connected with the testing device that it will not be overloaded in the axial or lateral direction.

26、 4.1.3 The wipe motors shall be protected from pollutants, such as dirt, which could affect the performance. 4.1.4 All materials used for the wiper motor shall conform to the drawing specifications and details in the release. Especially for exposed parts of the wiper motor, no synthetic materials de

31、ch 2011 Page 4 of 9 Version : 5 4.2 Visual Inspection and Dimensional Check. 4.2.1 The wiper motor shall meet dimensions and tolerances specified in the drawings and shall not show any visible damage or defects which affect the function or appearance. 4.2.2 The wiper motor shall be marked to the ind

32、ication methods specified in drawings. The mark shall be printed clearly and permanently and shall not affect the performance of the wiper motor. 4.2.3 In case definite openings are on the wiper motor, these shall be marked on the design drawing for the wiper motor. 4.2.4 Electric connections shall

33、conform to the technical delivery conditions for wires and electric cables for motor vehicles. 4.2.5 Wiper motors shall provide at least two rpm stages unless otherwise specified on the design drawing. The rotating direction of the driving shaft of the wiper motor shall correspond to the relevant de

34、tails on the design drawing. 4.3 Temperature Resistance Test. The wiper motor shall be heated at +233 E and +903 E and subsequently cooled to (-403) E . In this case, all parts of the wiper motor shall have been exposed to the respective test temperature for at least 24 hours and the following requi

35、rements shall be met. The wiper motor shall show no signs of cracks, deformations, etc. and shall operate normally. 4.4 Performance Test. Test shall be performed at +233 E according to the test voltage and loads specified in the load characteristic table in drawings. The rpm, current and torque shal

36、l also meet requirements in drawings. The wiper motor shall meet all other requirements in drawings. 4.5 Stopping Position Test. After applying the test voltage specified in drawings to the wiper motor, operate it with no loads for at least 5 minutes. Subsequently, interrupt the power to the wiper m

37、otor with its final switch and then measure the angle of its driving shaft, which shall not be larger than 30. 4.6 Noise Test. After installing the wiper motor in the following equipment, operate it under the test voltage with no loads to measure the noise level. At noise measuring, the background n

38、oise level shall be smaller than the measured noise level by at least 10 dB and test shall not be affected by reflected noises in the surroundings. The measured noise level shall not be larger than 55 dB when the wiper motor is operated at a low speed and shall not be larger than 60 dB when the wipe

44、 separated 100 mm from the floor with vibration absorbers like sponge. And the driving shaft of the wiper motor and microphone shall be separated 300 mm vertically with each other. The noise test for the rear windshield is the same as above and the measured noise level shall not be larger than 55 dB. 4.7 Low Temperature Test. Cool the wiper motor to (-253) E and expose to the temperature for 16 hours. When subsequently operated under the same temperature conditions and test voltage, the wiper motor shall opera
