It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by Global Design Standards. 1. PURPOSE This standard aims at des

3、cribing the method of generating the title block in drawings to enable designers to understand and make use of it for improved work efficiency. 2. SCOPE This standard applies to generation of the title block in all drawings prepared by the GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology Company (hereinafter referred to

4、 as the “GMDAT“) engineering department. 3. APPLICABLE LETTERS All letters in the title block shall be in language that generates engineering drawing by authorized nation (hereinafter referred to as “Nation language”) or English, and the numeral letter shall be Arabic numeral in principle. National

5、language is used for the title of drawings and only in (13), (14) and (15) of Fig. 1. Further details shall confirm to EDS-A-1006(Letters Used in Drawings) 4. GENERATION METHOD 4.1. How to make title blocks. The following describes how to enter each item of the title block in GMDAT drawings. EDS-A-1

(1) DATE (ECR/EDS issuing date) (1) The ECR/EDS issuing date is entered by the designer in the order of day (two figures), month (two English alphabets) and year

7、 (last two figures). (2) Abbreviation for month January: JA, February: FE, March: MR, April: AP, May: MA, June: JU, July : JL, August: AU, September: SE, October: OC, November: NO, December: DE. 4.1.2. (2) SYM (Symbol) The symbol represents the changed position in the drawing. Further details shall

8、confirm to the clause 5.6 in EDS-A-1007. Initially released symbol is indicated using “-“. 4.1.3. (3) ZONE (Change zone) For easy identification of revision symbols on a drawing, the width and length zone numbers, which are marked along the drawing border, are entered in a way that the width letter

9、(alphabets) precedes the length number. Further details shall confirm to the clause 5.7 in EDS-A-1007. Initially released change zone is indicated using “-“. 4.1.4. (4) REVISION RECORD (Contents of revision) Contents of revision shall be entered in English in a simple and clear manner in principle.

11、 preliminary review of prototype products 2) PROTO RELEASE Initial release of confirmed drawings of prototype products 3) PRODUCTION EPI RELEASE Initial release of drawings for preliminary review of mass-production products 4) PRODUCTION RELEASE Initial release of confirmed drawings of mass-producti

12、on products. 4.1.5. (5) AUTHORITY The ECR(Engineering Change Recommendation)/EDR(Engineering Deviation Recommendation) number relating to the revision shall be entered by the design engineer. In case an ECR/EDR involves several drawing revisions, the ECR/EDR number is entered in the top line, and a

13、vertical line is drawn downwards. 4.1.6. (6), (7), (8) Signature column In each of signature columns, the following responsible persons shall put their signatures after confirming the contents DS: designer CK: reviewer AP: approver In case an ECR/EDR involves several drawing revisions, the signature

14、 columns is entered in the top line only one, and a vertical line is drawn downwards. 4.1.7. (9) GENERAL TOLERANCE (1) General tolerance of parts in the drawings is entered. (2) In case the part in the drawing requires a separate tolerance, it is entered along with dimensions of the part. In case of

15、 dimensions without specific tolerance, the general tolerance procedure(EDS-A-1101) is applied. (3) In installation, instruction, chart, layout and skin drawings, where general tolerance does not apply, it is indicated in “-“. 4.1.8. (10) PROJECT NO. (1) The project number to which drawings are appl

16、ied is entered. 4 digits that mixed with English and Arabic numeral is entered in principle.(Ex. T100, V200, -) (2) In case there are several applicable projects, the representative or the first applied project number is entered. (3) In case of special standard parts, - is entered instead of the pro

17、ject number. 4.1.9. (11) DWG. DATE (drawing generation date) The date of drawing preparation is entered in the order of day, month and year as follows. 18、: 4 GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology Ex) 4.1.10. (12) SCALE The representative scale on the drawing is entered, and details shall conform to EDS-A-1005(Scales in Drawing). Ex) 1: 2 * The “V” mark means a space. 4.1.11. (13) DSGN (Designer) The name of the designer is entered with National language. 4.1.1

19、2. (14) CHK (Checker) The name of the reviewer is entered with National language. 4.1.13. (15) APR (Approver) The name of the final approver is entered with National language. Ex) (13), (14), (15) drawing indication. 4.1.14. (16) Type of projection The type of projection shall be third angle project

20、ion. 4.1.15. (17) MATERIAL When the part is made of only one material, it is entered in this column. When the material type is entered in the NOTE column or in the drawing part, SEE NOTE” or “SEE DWG” (when two or more materials are used.) shall be indicated. When there is no indication of the mater

21、ial principal, “-“ is entered. * For indication of material types, see related portions of relevant standards. 4.1.16. (18) WEIGHT It is indicated in “kg” or “g”. 4.1.17. (19) EST (Estimated weight) In all drawings except IR, IS, chart, layout and skin drawings, estimated weight shall always be ente

23、GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology 4.1.19. (21) NAME (Drawing name) The drawing name, which is to be made according to EDS-A-2003, shall not exceed 25 letters (including blanks). When required, abbreviation is used. Abbreviation in drawings, for example A (assembly), is apart of the drawing name and theref

24、ore shall be entered in the same size as the drawing name. The upper line is in National language, and the lower line is in English. In case the national language is English, the upper line is in blanks, and the lower line is English only. Ex) In case the drawing is composed of two or more sheets, t

25、he same drawing name shall be entered at the center in each sheet. 4.1.20. (22) DRAWING NO. (1) General In most cases detail drawings need the assembly drawing and part drawing of each part. In case of multi-drawings, each sheet has the same drawing number and the total number of drawings are entere

26、d in series as follows. Ex) * The drawing number shall be entered at the center, and the “V” mark means a space. (2) Left-hand and right-hand versions The left-hand and right-hand version mean that objects is drawn symmetrically. LH and RH are conventional international abbreviations. LH is entered

27、above and RH below shown on Ex.1. In most cases the left is the shown part with a smaller number. 28、s indication of the side, it is not indicated in the drawing number. (3) Left-hand drive and right-hand drive versions The procedure is as described in clause (2) above. In this case also, LHD or RHD is added to the drawing no. Ex) (4) In case the opposite part is added in the ensuring drawings of t

29、he second version drawings mentioned in clauses (2) and (3), the additional part no. is indicated together with the previous drawing no. The part number of both sides that corresponds to the abbreviation mentioned in clauses (2) and (3) is added. Ex) Present Ex) Added (5) Concerning part indicated 1

Ex 2) In case the part was one in the initial release (in bold line) and one is added later (in thin line). 4.1.21. (23) SIZE The size of drawings is e

34、ntered from A4 to R8. The details shall conform to clause 3 in EDS-A-1003. In case of roll size, the size shall be indicated as R0 X N, R4 X N, R8 X N. (In R0 x N, R0 represents the roll size, and N is the length (25 x 20mm), not the zone no.) The length of drawing shall be longer than width of drawing.
