SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a highly reactive moisture sensitive solvent/resin blend adhesion promoting primer. 2. APPLICATION This material was released orig
3、inally for priming windshield glass and providing UV blackout protection for the one component faster moisture curing urethane adhesive, WSB-M2G316-B. This primer is referred to as blackout glass primer in the WSB-M2G316-B specification. This primer is applied only to glass surfaces prepared with gl
4、ass primer WSB-M5B280-C/C2/C3. 2.1 MANUFACTURING PROCESS RECOMMENDATION This primer is moisture sensitive and requires special handling for manual and automated process as outlined in Table 1 and Table 2. The process parameters listed in Table 1 and Table 2 cover the critical elements for this mater
5、ial and are not all inclusive. Please consult with Materials Engineering for any questions. Approved suppliers are responsible for maintaining the accuracy and relevancy of these process parameters (in their Process Standard). Approved suppliers must submit any changes to these process parameters in
6、 a timely manner (within 30 days) for review and approval by Materials Engineering. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.4 COLOR Black 3

8、t at R.T., -10 +/- 1 C., and 43 +/- 2 C. . Normal (urethane aged 3 months and primers aged 2 months at 35 +/- 2 C) test at R.T., - 10 +/- 1 C., and 43 +/- 2 C. . 2 weeks heat age at 90 +/- 2 C. . 240 h water immersion at 32 +/- 1 C. (FLTM BI 104-01). . 2 weeks humidity age at 98 +/- 2% relative humi
9、dity and 38 +/- 2 C. . 1000 h Weatherometer (FLTM BO 101-01). . 2 year Florida exposure, 5 South DWI. . See specification WSB-M2G316-B para 4.1, 4.2, 4.3, 4.4. Test Method Exceptions: Lap Shear . Prepare shear assemblies as illustrated in Figure 1. . Brush apply painted metal primer on the bottom 6.
10、4 mm of each primed or primed and painted coupon as outlined in Table 1. Condition the applied primer at R.T. for 30 minutes min, 96 h max. . Brush apply glass primer wipe on the bottom 6.4 mm of each glass coupon outlined in Table 1. Wipe off with a clean cloth immediately after application. . With
11、in 10 minutes maximum after glass primer wipe off brush apply glass blackout primer to the glass surface in the same area. Condition primer at R.T. for 5 minutes min, 72 h max. . Apply a 6.4 mm diameter bead of adhesive along the primer glass coupon surface. Within 5 minutes after adhesive applicati
12、on, position the adhesive on the glass coupon in contact with the primed metal surface. Maintain a 5 mm nominal adhesive bondline thickness. . Condition assembly at R.T. for 72 h prior to test or environmental aging. Assemblies tested at -10 C. and 43 C shall be maintained at temperature for 2 h min
13、 prior to test. After environmental aging, maintain the assemblies at R.T. for 4 h prior to test. . Determine the adhesion in a tensile machine having a jaw separation rate of 25 mm/minute. Report strength value and mode of failure. Refer SAE J1529 for sample fixture and other pertinent test informa
14、tion. . See Specification WSB-M2G316-B para 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 Note: Any new primer must be tested for adhesion properties. 16、must not have a toxic or noxious odor. After curing, the material must be relatively non-odorous. 3.9 FOGGING TEST (SAE J1756, 3 h at 100 C heating, 21 C cooling plate, post test conditioning 1 h and 16 h) Fog Number, min 60% Formation of clear film, droplets or crystals is cause for rejection. 3.10
17、 ASH CONTENT, BASED ON SOLIDS WEIGHT, max 30% Test Method: Place the crucible containing the solids residue in a cool muffle furnace. Slowly heat to and maintain at 760 +/- 30 C for 1 h. Cool in a desiccator, weigh, and calculate the ash content. 3.11 WEIGHT PER VOLUME (ASTM D 816) The weight tolera
18、nce for any given supplier shall be +/- 0.025 kg/l based on the recorded weight of the original approved production sample, see para 5.3. 3.12 HIDING POWER The primer when hand brushed on glass surfaces shall level with no evidence of brush marks, voids, or bare spots to the extent that the glass un
