2、ED FOR NEW DESIGN 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a cold rolled low carbon (CRLC) sheet steel. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for visi ble exterior body panels. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESS Suppliers must conform to the requirements of For
3、d Quality System Standard Q -101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as described therein is required for material/source approval. Appropriate statistical tools must be used to analyze process/product data so that variation in the final product is continuously reduced. 3.2 CHEMICAL COMPOSITION The
4、percentage given are heat or cast (ladle) analysis. Carbon 0.09 max Manganes e 0.50 max Phosphorus 0.025 max Sulphur 0.025 max 3.3 FORMABILITY The quality level of steel supplied to fabricate a specific component is to be negotiated between the manufacturing activity and the steel supplier. Acceptan
5、ce of subsequent orders by the steel supplier for a given component at the agreed upon quality level implies that all steel supplied will form that part satisfactorily as defined by the manufacturing activity. 7、e relevant Engineering Performance Specification, see section 5.1. 3.6 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITY All materials supplied to this specification must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted.
