However, attention is drawn to the fact that during the development of this European and International Standard, the UK committee voted against its approval as a European or International Standard.In the opinion of the UK co
3、mmittee, this Standard contains useful technical information but it is mainly applicable to those developing standards rather than the wider user community. It is the opinion of the UK committee that it would have been more appropriate if the document had been issued as a Technical Specification rat
4、her than as a European or International Standard.The UK participation in its preparation was entrusted to Technical Committee IST/36, Geographic information.A list of organizations represented on this committee can be obtained on request to its secretary.This publication does not purport to include

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical tex
14、t or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2015, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by May 2015.
