16、 4 1Scope ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiesamethodofdeterminingthemeshbreakingforceofnettingforfishing. Testsmaybecarriedoutinboththedryandwetstates,buttestinthewetstateareconsideredtobeparticularly appropriateinindicatingthebehaviourofthenettinginuse. 2 Normativereferences ThisEuropeanStandardincorpora

Thetestingmachineisoperatedatsucharatethattheaveragetimetobreakofagrou

21、pofsamplesfallswithin specifiedtimelimits.ENISO1806:2002(E) 5 5Apparatus 5.1Tensiletestingmachine 5.1.1 Anyofthefollowingtypesmaybeused: a) constantrateofelongationmachine; b) constantrateofforcemachine; c) constantrateoftraversemachine. Preferenceshouldbegiventoaconstantrateofelongationmachine. 5.1

22、.2 Theclampsofthetensiletestingmachinesshallbereplacedbypinsofstainlessmaterialwhichstandat rightanglestothedirectionofpull.Theseshallbeofsufficientstrengthandhaveadiametersuitableforthemesh size. Alternatively,loopsofnettingyarnheavierthanthatofthenettingshallbeused.Itisnecessarytousetheseloops ift

23、hemeshesareverysmall. 5.1.3 Itshallbepossibletoregulatethedistancebetweenthepinssothatnettingofdifferentmeshopeningscan besubmittedtothetest. 5.1.4 Themaximumerroroftheindicatedforceatanypointintherangeinwhichthemachineisusedshallnot exceed1%.Checktheaccuracyofthegraduatedscaleoftheapparatusdynamica

24、lly,forexamplebymeansof calibratedspringsofappropriatecharacteristics. 5.1.5 Alltestingmachinesshallincludefacilitiesforproducingdifferentratesofapplyingforceinordertobreak samplesinthespecifiedaveragetimetobreak. 5.2 Equipmentforproducingandmaintainingthestandardatmospherefortesting(see8.1) 5.3 Equ

25、ipmentinwhichsamplescanbeimmersedinwaterpreparatorytowettesting 5.4 Stopwatchorintervaltimer 6Sampling Testsamplesshallbeselectedatrandomfromthenettingsoastoberepresentativeofthewhole. 7 Preparationofsamples Topreventuntwistingofthelooseends,proceedasfollows. Cutthelooseendsofthesamplemeshasfaraspos

26、siblefromtheknotsorjoints.Wheneverpossible,melting insteadofcuttingispreferred. Ifduringtestingoneoftheknotsslipsbeforethebreakingforceisobtained,thenasampleofnettingwithasizeof 3 3meshesshallbeused. Themeshstrengthhastobedeterminedonthecentralmesh.ENISO1806:2002(E) 6 8 Requirementsfortesting 8.1Atm

27、ospherefortesting AsspecifiedinISO139,allsamplestobetestedinthedrystate(withtheexceptionofthesamplesforthetestin thewetstate)shallbeexposedtothestandardatmospherefortestingof20C2Candarelativehumidityof 65%2%untiltheyhavereachedequilibrium.Fornettingofmanmadefibres,aperiodof24hexposureis generallysuf

28、ficient.Whereitisnotpossibletocarryoutthetestsinthestandardatmospherethetestsshallbe carriedoutimmediatelyafterremovalofthesamplesfromthestandardatmosphere. 8.2Testinginthewetstate Allsamplestobetestedinthewetstateshallbefullywettedbeforetesting.Toachievewetting,theyshallbe immersedintapwaterwithout

29、wettingagentsatatemperatureof20C2Cforaperiodofnotlessthan12hor inachemicalsolutionof1gwettingagentper1litretapwateratatemperatureof20C2Cforaperiodof1h. Ashortertimeofimmersionisallowedifitcanbeshownthatthesampleiscompletelywettedinlessthan1h. 8.3Timetobreak Themeandurationoftestshouldbe20s3s.Itshall

30、bedeterminedbypreliminarytests. 9 Numberoftests Atleast10singletestsoneachpieceofnettingshallbecarriedout,unlessotherwiseagreedbetweenthe purchaserandsupplier.Ifadistinctconfidenceintervalforthemeanvalueisprescribed,asmanyadditionaltests shallbecarriedoutasarenecessarytosecurethisconfidenceinterval.

31、 10 Testprocedure 10.1 Checkthatthepinsorloopsofthetestingmachineareproperlyalignedandparallelsothatthesubsequent applicationofforcetothesamplewillnotcauseanyangulardeflection. 10.2 Mountthesampleinthetestingmachineoverthepinsorintheloopsinsuchawaythatitsknotsdonot touchthepinsorloops(seeFigures1and

32、2). 10.3 Wetsamplesshouldbetestedimmediatelyafterremovingfromwater(see8.2). 10.4 Applytheforcetoreachtheprescribedmeantimetobreak. 10.5 Ifasampledoesnotbreakatoneoftheknotsorjoints,thistestshallbediscarded. 10.6 Discardallobservationsobtainedonsamplesofwhichthelooseendsofthemeshslipintheknotsorthe j

33、ointsdistort.Suchatestshallberepeatedwithanewsample.Thenumberofobservationsdiscardedasdirected aboveshallbenoted.ENISO1806:2002(E) 7 10.7 Ifinmorethanhalfofthetests,theknotsslip,themethodofmeshtestingdescribedinthisEuropean Standardshallnotbeused.Itshallbereplacedbythemethodofdeterminingtheknotbreak

34、ingloadofnetting yarnsbyfasteningallfourendsintheholdingdevicesofthetestingmachine(seeISO1805).Ifthemeshesaretoo smalltoensurethatallfourendsoftheknotaregrippedbytheholdingdevices,theknotsaroundtheknottobe testedshallbeopened(seeFigure3). NOTE Theresultsofsuchknotbreakingforcetestsarenotcomparablewi

35、ththeresultsofmeshbreakingforcetests,the latteralwaysgivinglowervaluesthanknotbreakingforcetests. 11 Calculationandexpressionofresults TheaveragemeshbreakingforceshallbecalculatedindaNandifnecessary,thecoefficientofvariationandthe confidenceinterval.Discardallobservationsobtainedonsamplesofwhichthel

36、ooseendsofthemeshslipinthe knotsorthejointsdissolve.Thenumberofobservationsdiscardedasdirectedaboveshallbenoted. 12 Testreport Thetestreportshallincludethefollowingparticulars: a) astatementthatthetestswereperformedinaccordancewiththisEuropeanStandard; b) thesamplingmethodemployed; c) adescriptionof

37、thenettingincludingthematerial,thetypeofyarn(twistedorbraided),thetypeofnetting (singleormultipleyarn),themeshsize,thenominallineardensityofthetwine; d) thetypeandcapacityoftestingmachineusedandtherangeofindication; e) thetypeofholdingdeviceforthemeshes:pin,hookorloops; f) thenumberofsampletested(nu
