16、ndard specifies a method for determining the exudation of plasticizers of a polyvinyl chloride floor covering. 2 Principle An absorbent material is placed in contact with the surface of a floor covering, under specified conditions of temperature, pressure and time. This is followed by a visual exami

17、nation of the absorbent material. Place the first test piece on the flat surface with its surface layer uppermost. Place a single sheet of absorbent paper on top of it, then place a second test piece on this sheet with its surface layer downwards, exactly over the first test piece. Arrange a further

18、 two pairs of test pieces in the same way on the cover the pile completely with the rigid metal plate and place the 500 g weight on top. place the entire combination in the oven which has been pre-heated to 8OOC. After 24 h, allow to cool at the ambient temperature and separate the test pieces. 3 Ap

19、paratus and materials 3.1 A ventiliated oven, capable of being maintained at (80 i 2) OC. Examine the sheets of paper with the naked eye under diffuse lighting to see whether there are any traces of grease or colour. 7 Expression of results Report the presence of any stains and, where applicable, th

20、eir colour. 3.2 Absorbent papq mass per unit area approximately 15 g/m2, ash content 3 %, size of sheets approximately 70 mm x 40 mm. NOTE. Cigarette paper without adhesive is suitable for this test. 3.3 A metul plate measuring 50mm x 25mm x lmm. 3.4 A mass of 500 g. 8 lkst report The test report sh

21、ali contain the following information: 3.5 A 4 Sampling and preparation of test pieces Take a representative sample from the available material. We six test pieces at equal distances across the sample, the distance between the outer edge of the sample and the nearest edge of the test piece being at

22、least 100 mm, of minimum dimensions 50 mm x 25 mm. 5 Conditioning Condition the test pieces at a temperature of (23 f 2) OC and relative humidity (50 f 5) % for a minimum of 24 h. Maintain these conditions when carrying out the test. b) a complete identification of the product tested, including type

23、, source and manufacturers reference numbers; c) the previous history of the sample; d) the presence, or otherwise of any stains, and where applicable, their colour; e) any deviation from this standard which may have affected the results.
