However,therearethreemainargumentsfortheinspection: testoperatorsafety(minimumrequirementsaregivenconcerningoperatorsafetyintheuseofwork equipmentatworkdirective95/63/CE,amendingdirective89/655/CEE,andcanbecomplimentedby nationalregulations); lesspotentialrisk

18、ofenvironmentalcontaminationbycropprotectionproducts; goodcontrolofthepestwiththeminimumpossibleinputofcropprotectionproduct. InordertousecropprotectionproductsinagriculturalproductioninEuropesafely,itisnecessarytodefinethe requirementsandtestmethodsforsprayersinuse.Thisisarelevantstepafterhavingsta

22、ssary,e.g.ontheexecutionmanagementoftheinspection,which organisationsareauthorisedtocarryouttheinspection,timeintervalsbetweeninspectionsetc.Asthe specificationsofthisEuropeanStandardarebasedonEN907andEN12761,itmaybethecasethat sprayersinusewhichwereproducedbeforeEN907andEN12761cameintoforcedonotful

23、filallthe specificationsgiveninthisEuropeanStandard. 1Scope ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiestherequirementsandmethodsoftheirverificationfortheinspectionoffield cropsprayersinuse.Itrelatesmainlytotheconditionofthesprayerinrespectofsafetyhazardsforthetest operator,thepotentialriskofenvironmentalcontamina

28、arried out.Allnationalregulatoryconditionsandhealthandsafetyrequirementsshouldbefollowed.EN137901:2003(E) 5 4 Requirementsandmethodofverification 4.1 Powertransmissionparts 4.1.1 Thepowertakeoffdriveshaftguardandtheguardofthepowerinputconnection(PIC)shallbefitted andingoodcondition: thedifferentpart

29、softheshaft,theuniversaljointsandlockingsystemsshallnotshowanymarkof excessivewearandshalloperatecorrectly; thefunctionoftheguardshallbeobviousandtheguardshallnotshowanywearmarks,holes, deformationsortears; therestrainingdevicethatpreventstherotationofthepowertakeoffdriveshaftguardshallbepresent and

30、shallworkreliably. Theprotectivedevicesandanymovingorrotatingpowertransmissionpartsshallnotbeaffectedintheir function. Methodofverification: inspectionandfunctiontest. 4.1.2 AdeviceforsupportingthePTOdriveshaftwhennotinuseshallbepresentandingoodcondition. ThechainordeviceusedforrestrainingthePTOshaf

31、tguardshallnotbeacceptableforthispurpose. Theguardofthepowerinputconnection(PIC)shallbefittedandingoodcondition. 4.2Pump 4.2.1 Thepumpcapacityshallbesuitedtotheneedsoftheequipment. a) Thepumpcapacityshallbeatleast90%ofitsoriginalnominalflow,givenbythemanufacturerofthe sprayer.
