A-A-515 5 O 14 July 1986 COMMERCIAL ITEM DESCRIPTION SPLINT, HAND (MASON-ALLEN) The General Services-Administration has authorized the use of this commercial item description in preference to Military Specification MIL-S-36315A. This commercial

2、item description covers an aluminum hand splint of the Mason-Allen type for use in the treatment of injuries to the hand. Salient characteristics. The spint shall consist of a forearm portion rounded to conform to the convexity of the forearm and terminating in a concavity and the heel of the hand.

3、The splint shall be fabricated of Aluminum alloy 1100 Temper O in conformance with Federal Specification QQ-A-250/1. Dimensions, style and design shall be in accordance with Defense Personnel Support Center Drawing 1960. The splint shall be permanently and legibly marked with the name or registered

4、trademark of the manufacturer.
