This drawing describes the requirements for metallized polycarbonate capacitors screened to MIL-PRF-55514. 1.2 Part or Identifying Number (PIN). SPECIFICATIONS DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE MIL-PRF-55514 - Capacitors, Fixed, Plastic (or Metallized Plastic) Dielectric, DC or DC-AC, in Nonmetal Cases, Non-established and Established Reliability, General Specification for. STANDARDS
7、 DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE MIL-STD-202 - Test Method Standard Electronic and Electrical Component Parts. MIL-STD-1285 - Marking of Electrical and Electronic Parts. In the event of a conflict between the text of this document and the references cited herein (except for related associated specifications, specification sheets, or MS sheets), the te
9、xt of this document takes precedence. Nothing in this document, however, supersedes applicable laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Interface and physical dimensions. The interface and physical dimensions shall be as specified in MIL-PRF-55514 and h
10、erein (see figure 1, table I and table II). 3.1.1 Leads. Tinned copper wire (see figure 1 and table II). 3.1.2 Construction. Wrap and fill. 3.1.3 Operating temperature range. The operating temperature range shall be -55C to +125C. The voltage shall be derated by 1.25%/C from 85C to 125C. 3.2 Electri
11、cal characteristics. The electrical characteristics shall be as follows. 3.2.1 Working voltage. See table I. 3.2.2 Dielectric type. Metallized polycarbonate. Capacitors shall withstand a dc potential of 200 percent of rated voltage for 2 minutes without damage
14、or breakdown. Test voltage must be applied and discharged through a resistance of 1 ohm per volt, minimum. 3.2.4 Capacitance stability. Capacitance shall not vary more than 2.5 percent from the 25C value over a range of temperatures from -55C to +125C. 3.2.5 Capacitance (see table I). Capacitance sh
15、all be measured in accordance with MIL-PRF-55514. 3.2.6 Capacitance tolerance. See table I. 3.2.7 Dissipation factor (+25C). Dissipation factor shall not exceed 0.3 percent when measured in accordance with MIL-PRF-55514. 3.2.8 Insulation resistance. Measured in accordance with MIL-PRF-55514, minimum
16、 insulation resistance at rated dc voltages are as follows. 3.2.8.1 At +25C, 50,000 megohm microfarads minimum, but need not exceed 100,000 megohms. 3.2.8.2 At +125C, 500 megohm microfarads minimum, but need not exceed 1,000 megohms. 3.2.8.3 Measurements. The insulation resistance shall be measured
17、after a 2-minute charge with rated voltage applied. 3.3 Solderability of terminals. In accordance with MIL-PRF-55514. 3.4 Vibration. In accordance with MIL-PRF-55514, test condition D of MIL-STD-202, method 204. 3.5 Shock. In accordance with MIL-PRF-55514, test condition I of MIL-STD-202, method 213
18、. 3.6 Immersion. In accordance with MIL-PRF-55514. 3.7 Moisture resistance. In accordance with MIL-PRF-55514. 3.8 Life. Life shall be 125 percent of the rated voltage applied at +85C for 2,000 hours. 3.8.1 Post-life test end points. After testing in accordance with 3.8, units shall meet the followin
19、g requirements: a. No mechanical damage shall be evident. b. Capacitance shall not have changed by more than 5 percent of the initial value. c. Insulation resistance shall meet or exceed the initial requirements. d. Dissipation factor shall not exceed the value specified. 3.9 Terminal strength. In a
20、ccordance with MIL-PRF-55514. 3.10 Resistance to solvents. In accordance with MIL-PRF-55514. 3.11 Marking. Marking shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-1285 except the capacitors shall be marked with the PIN as specified herein (see 1.2), the manufacturers name or Commercial and Government Entity (CA
21、GE) code, and date lot codes. 3.12 Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials. Recycled, recovered, or environmentally preferable materials should be used to the maximum extent possible provided that the material meets or exceeds the operational and maintenance requirements, and pr
22、omotes economically advantageous life cycle costs. 3.13 Certificate of compliance. A certificate of compliance shall be required from manufacturers requesting to be a suggested source of supply.
