3、ration has authorized the use of this commercial item description for all federal agencies. 1. SCOPE. This commercial item description (CID) covers one technical grade of amyl acetate, CH3COOCH24CH3. The Chemical Abstract Service Registry Number (CAS#) for amyl acetate is 628-63-7. 2. SALIENT CHARAC

4、TERISTICS 2.1 Appearance. Amyl acetate shall be a clear liquid, free of sediment and suspended matter, when visually examined in accordance with the following procedure. Pour appreciate 25 mL of the specimen into a clean, dry test tube. Allow to stand for no less than 10 minutes. Examine by transmit

5、ted light for clarity, sediment and suspended matter. 2.2 Chemical and physical requirements. Amyl acetate shall conform to the chemical and physical characteristics of table I when tested as specified therein. Item shall be labeled, pack and marked in accordance with Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), Parts 100 to 185. 3.2 Recovered materials. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to

9、use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.4.3 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Unless otherwise specified herein, all equipment, material and articles incorporated in the work covered by this CID are to be new and fabricated using material

10、s produced from recovered materials to the maximum extent possible without jeopardizing the intend use The term “recovered materials” means materials which have been collected or recovered from solid waste and reprocessed to become a source of raw materials, as opposed to virgin raw materials. PRODUCT CONFORMANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Product conformance. The products provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this CID

13、, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial marketplace. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. 4.2 Market acceptability. The product offered must have

14、 been previously sold either to the government or on the commercial market. 5. PACKAGING. Preservation, packing, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order (see 6.2(c). 6.
